honx: so called "puzzles" designed to annoy users and to waste user's precious time also do damage.
i'm not getting paid for that time i'm wasting on this google captcha bullshit, so there is damage.
i don't get my time back and i don't earn any money for this donkeywork. so captcha = malware.
Failure to grasp the concept on your part does not constitute malware on their part.

Although I'm intrigued by the implication that being stuck on a simple childs puzzle aside, you ARE being paid for everything else you do on GOG.

Never had to do one a second time. Maybe you need to be tested for developmental problems? Nothing to be ashamed of, plenty of people have them. How much are you earning to post, by the way. Asking for a friend.

kohlrak: How's he being paid to post and all that fun stuff?
posting anythin here does not waste as much time as these fcking non-working capchas which eat at least minutes!
or they kill even more time... as i posted in first post, this captcha-malware took two fcking hours of my time last night!
posting here only costs seconds, NOT HOURS!

good for you.

there is a difference between being forced to do shit over and over again, killing minutes up to hours,
or to just simply to do anything voluntarily which takes only seconds at a max.

Are you running deep web software such as Tor or I2P perchance? This could negatively affect your captcha experience.

no, i'm running normal firefox, just in private mode, usually.
currently i'm testing portable chrome, also in private mode.
A quick google suggests disabling Hardware acceleration:

DOn't know about that but I wanted to suggest it.

First things first: are you a robot? A simple question, just answer digitally either 1 (yes) or 0 (no).

If you are, that might be the problem you have problems with CAPTCHA.

I don't remember ever having to use captcha to login. Am I crazy?

TT_TT_TT_TT: i actually dont even have to do one when redeeming a key oO
Well, i don't know then, last time i tested a code to see if it's still valid i got one....

maybe the reason is due the code i tested it was for a game which i already have.

see screenshot....

PS : ah yes, it's about gift codes, totaly forgot about it, so i mixed up with "regular" codes.

honx: i'm browsing in private mode to prevent companies from spying. so there shouldn't be any cookies nor browsing history.
You should have started by mentionning this... of course in this case, the somutions i given don't help at all.

Nevertheless, as said others your issue, is private mode + intensive use of Firefox.

I know FF is a memory eater, in this case , you are forced to restart it,. I'm no more certain now , but iirc i have seen in the past some extensions to help on this matter. But i never tested one to see if one of them worked properly.

The last advice i could give you : contact the support , they would certainly try to help you, and please, be nice stop to jump on others who try to be funny (just ignore them).

Private Mode does not prevent spying from the other end of the internet connection. In a nutshell, it's mostly to prevent saving your browsing history, cookies, etc., on your PC. It will also prevent one website from tracking your travels to other websites. That means someone using your PC will not be able to see where you've been. Google, gOg, every other site you visit will still be doing the same old data collection they've always done. Because your request for data from their site has to go through them, and they keep track of what you do on their site. And that's when they get data from you.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/private-browsing-use-firefox-without-history?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Private+Browsing

You have some options:

- stop using Private Mode, because it's probably not doing what you think it's doing. Even if it were, logging into Google throws all good intentions for privacy out the window. This *should* help you eliminate the hassles of Captcha when visiting gOg.

- use a browser that actually offers some measure of privacy, such as Tor.

- if you want tracking protection but also want to save cookies to avoid the Captcha stuff, then you likely want to use regular browsing (not Private Mode) while using Tracking Protection:
