Unmechanical - Not point and click, but still fairly simple. Think there was just one area/puzzle I didn't like and it was just because it relied too much on being fast.

I shall repeat my suggestion: Late Shift.

There are no puzzles, you just make choices during the gameplay. And if you get tired of doing that, you can just watch and the game will make a random choice for you! There's absolutely no way to get stuck, or even get stalled for a moment.

Your choices will determine how the story goes though, but even if you start the game and never touch your computer, the game will finish by itself. :-)

Yeah, but I like I said, with most adventure games you can't really predict whether someone will get stuck in them or not, it varies from player to player and can have multiple reasons. I don't recall whether I had to use a walkthrough for Sanitarium or Syberia, but I don't remember them sticking out as super easy either, just your average adventure games, hit or miss. The only one I played where I could safely predict that most players will get stuck in it at some point or other would be Gabriel Knight 2, but I wouldn't call it difficult per se, just badly designed. (A shame, because the campy FMV and the storytelling are quite fun.)

The Longest Journey is pretty easy apart from one particular 'rubber ducky' puzzle.

Regarding its sequels and that is speaking for me, I absolutely totally hated the trolls/cave bit, to the point of swearing and screaming insults at those things. Though I know some others where in the same boat, whether I/we just plain sucked at that section or it just sucks all by itself, dunno. As much as I loved the first one, despite having saves for those personally hated bits, haven't replayed the others.

Staying with the classics you can find here and not already mentioned, Runaway was a fun one.

Also The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav and Memoria are worth mentioning as well I think, they have (both if memory serves) hotspot and combination indicators.

I suggest Technobabylon. The story is divided into small chapters, in which the action is confined to a few locations at a time, and often the inventory is reset. Because of that, puzzles tend to fall on the easier side, since there aren't as many possible interactions as in other adventure games.

The old Quest for Glory games are adventure / rpg hybrids that have very few bizarre puzzles- they are mostly sensible ones like "use the grapnel on the window" to climb into a building.

They are probably my favorite games also.

I totally recommend Paradigm.

Not only easy, but also extremely fun to play. Really good game if you have bad mood. Or good - doesn't matter, in both cases it'll be fun :)

Thanks again for this great list, people in my situation will refer to it when they are in the mood for easy adventure. Thanks to sales, I have some of them already, and I could buy more with this advice list.

I will start with Teenagent, according to the description of Cadaver747 it should be ok :-)

I really hate looking for a solution on the internet for any game, I really feel like failing and as if other people won the game for me. When I'm stuck, I'd sometimes rather quit the game altogether, because when I finish the game the horrible bad conscience lingers on and keeps whispering: "But it wasn't you who achieved it" or "if you idiot just had looked behind the bed or searched for 3 minutes more".

Btw, in Syberia 2 I was stuck almost at the end of the game, and I was desperate not to fail, I checked everything again and again and I eventually looked it up... and it was a known bug where game doesn't give you an object so you can't complete the puzzle (combine a sort of fishing trap in a cave, if I remember well). Biggest relief in my life, I didn't fail (and I downloaded a saving point just after this puzzle).

Umm, you seem to have a rather special use of the term "easy".

If older games are up your alley, I would really recommend
- Eric the Unready (https://www.gog.com/game/eric_the_unready) and
- And Spellcasting series (https://www.gog.com/game/spellcasting_123)

All those are games that are not "easy" but really solvable by logical thinking. I would also recommend Death Gate, one of the most outstanding games in terms of hard but fair puzzles, but sadly it has been here only for a few days due to license issues.

Phantasmagoria. Only 1, not the sequel.

I finished "My Brother Rabbit" ALONE WITHOUT HELP AT ALL. I was on the border of hysteria, like what's happening, is it really me who achieved it? :-p

Needs decent observation and some pondering for light puzzles to access things, but totally feasable and very few frustrations.

By the way, it's a modest game but cute and funny animations, nice music and a bittersweet story mixing brilliantly fantasy and reality seen by children, I enjoyed it not only for finishing it.

Yes, I do wish they make more "My Brother Rabbit" like game, rather than their usual formula of Heroine+Supernatural stuff.

The closest thing to that is "Tiny Bang Story".
