First .. I only have about 400 Canadian to spend. For that reason, I've decide to go with a Korean Monitor.
The Canadian dollar is only worth around 72 cents in the US. I'm looking for the best bank for the buck.

I will be using this monitor on my Linux Laptop. The laptop is a Galago (System 76) Ultrapro and has a 14.1-inch IPS 1080p matt screen. Intel Iris Pro 5200 Graphics chip. The Galago UltraPro (galu1) is based off of the Clevo W740SU which is also sold as the Shenkner S413 and the Sager NP2740. It isn't to bad for gaming. I've read that the chip is a little bit bellow a GTX 650 and I tend to agree. It has hdmi, d-sub (vga) and mini - display adapter .. Which is what I intend to use. So, the monitor needs to have that to. (Display Adapter).
I "would like" to get a -- 27" 2560x1440 IPS (not tn) / (matt), 16:9 ratio, up scaling, response time of 5ms or less, viewing angle 178v 178h .. Monitor. I realize that the Galago is only 1920X1080 HD, but I would like to find a monitor with built in scaling, so I could scale 1920x1024 up to 2560x1440. Then, If I sell the Galago, I don't have to turn around and sell the monitor to buy a bigger one.
I've been reading this .. http://www.tested.com/tech/pcs/453848-buying-your-new-monitor-part-one-what-get/
I've been looking on eBay, but haven't found the right monitor.
Nice, but no scaling.

I haven't purchased a new / decent monitor for many years, so would appreciate some help finding a good deal
for the money.
Nice Monitor, but no - Display Port .. etc.

Finding .. all that I want & need may prove to be impossible for the money? Display adapter, Response time of 5ms or less, matt ips panel, scaling, 16:9 ratio, 2560x1440 with scaling for 1920x1024 hd -to- 2560x1440 hd.
Hmmm .. What to do?
