Pupcakes: Guess what? Walt Disney was a racist
And yet the Disney Corporation is making anti-racist statements literally by the minute and politically through their art (maybe you should boycott them for infusing their work with political stances?).
They have done so for many decades (I watched "Adventures in Babysitting" this week and their statement on gun culture in the US continues to greatly amuse me), though of course racist sentiments are still expressed in their art in older movies (I don't watch 'Peter Pan' any more – my favorite movie as a kid, because it just feels too icky).
What have we heard from JonTron in that respect? An "apology" that apologized for absolutely nothing. Fuck him. And fuck everyone who is STILL following him.
Pupcakes: Fine, I'll bite.
You really didn't. Please direct me to the Team17 and/or Playtronic tweets you were mentioning, in which they make additional statements about JonTron and the reason they're taking out his voice acting.
Pupcakes: Was Jon paid? Source? Proof of damages would be needed too.
One of the many unwritten laws of Kickstarter games is that participants are paid fairly. One of the unwritten and in part written laws of business is to not publish the extent of payment.
Pupcakes: I'm sorry, but this is what we call biting the hand that feeds you. You don't sit there with your hand out, and then expect people to be okay with you when you use the product as a political platform. Very stupid move, as proof by this whole debacle.
More finger pointing. What 'political viewpoint' Playtronic expressed I detailed above. Why wasn't JonTron biting the many hands that feed him when he expressed his?
He said that current immigration is to whites what apartheid was to South Africans.
Insinuated a Mexican plot to invade and take over parts of the US.
He's going with the narrative that the "white race is ending".
Unabashedly advocates for racial purity with the strictly racist idea of "incompatibility".
Insists the USA belongs to white people and was built by white people.
Voiced and consistently defended the absurd idea that black people are inherently more violent than white people.
Delves further and further into nazi eugenics.
Lied that poor white people would be less criminal than rich black people.
Signal boosted the racist viewpoints of Steve King, i.e. the racist "us vs. them" narrative.
Watched Stefan Molyneux. Wishes that Le Pen wins the French elections.
Seems to think that Germany is on the verge of becoming an Islamic country.
Thinks that there's no discrimination in Western countries.
Falsely states that courts don't show bias against people of color.
There's not a single thought seed here that hasn't been implanted in that empty brain cavity by white supremacists. But, hey, let's bash the people that don't want the guy in their game, thanks.
