JonTron, not really my style, but some of his stuff is good.

Controversial? Only because he isn't a good debater and talking/debating with Destiny about politics, immigration policy and other details...

If anyone cares I can pull up two relevant videos. Kinda long, where Sargon of Akkad and Destiny debate and Sargon talks JonTron's points much better than JonTron could convey them.

nvm :P

I'll come up with something more clever later.

tinyE: You wouldn't know relevant if it came up and bit you on the ass, Adolf. :P

You just want to post more videos of Alex so you can sit there and whack off to them.
This is the "Everyone I don't like is Hitler" thing? *sigh*

I'll just post these here. Enjoy.

Debating JonTron - original debate. (2hr)

Steve "Destiny" Bonnell II: Retraction Via DMCA - regarding excerpts of the debate and DMCA claims (for some reason?) which brings out some interesting points. (12m)

Talking Immigration and Economics with Destiny - Sargon of Akkad debates Destiny. (2h27m)
On the one hand, gaming personalities doing voice acting never turns out well. On the other, this feels like a lost opportunity to emphasize how games can unite even people with wildly different political opinions. On the third hand borrowed from an increasingly panicked random passerby, the game looks kind of janky and this doesn't do anything to change how little interest I have in it.

I wasn't going to get this game to begin with, but dropping JonTron over his views on illegal immigration (which the overwhelming majority of Americans agree with) was typical leftist intolerance.

"If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." - George Washington, 1773, United States Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, first President of the United States of America.

Either agree with the left or get demonized left and right, attack their character, label them, and destroy their income.

Good quote btw, i'll save it for later.

not the only saying modern society don't give a damn about;

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Yeah, how messed up would it be to be villainized for something as simple and personal as a political belief?

Cough.

I don't have a problem with either of you, but seriously. Think you might have looked into the abyss a bit too long and started to become a mirror image of the same type of character-attacking, labeling intolerance you're decrying.
Only JonTron has the right to freedom of speech. Playtonic don't have the right to freedom of speech.

That is Ben Franklin for you attribution. (History is murky on the quote and it gets taken out of context a lot).

Selling our country down the toilet to those who only leach off of us is suicide. Giving up liberty for the terrorists/muslims (PC term migrants) by writing anti-free speech laws Hello Canada to appease sub-human savages is what Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and Washington feared. Another take Guelph Mercury Tribune

I don't think a lot of Canadians are in favour of M-103. This doesn't look good, but none of this is going to end well.

I don't take these things that seriously, but it does concern me that with society in general, there appears to be a complete and utter disregard of the lessons these old sayings are trying to teach.... and that is whats scary!

Edit: you know, i would at least like to see some display of mindfulness of it, but thats not what i am seeing at all.

... and not a single fuck was given? I'm interested in Yooka-Laylee because it's the spiritual successor to games such as Banjo-Kazooie, or Conker's Bad Fur Day, some of the best 3D Jump'n'Run/Exploration games ever created -- which also happens to be a genre that's almost non-existent on PC. And it's going to be released fully DRM-free, right here on GOG.

I didn't even know they had any "youtube celebrity" cameos, and don't really care either way. Can't say whether it's the right choice to remove the guy from the project, but I do know that it will have zero impact on my experience with the game, nor does it affect my opinion of the developer. I only care about the quality of their game, and so far things look good.
