From the reviews of these Wipeout-like games it seems that:
Redout 1 > Redout 2 > Flashout 1 >> Flashout 2

This could still be a nice freebie tho, so thanks.

I'm sure this will be corrected soon, but the offline installers for Flashout 3 are not available yet.

Also for Linux user Flashout 2 is Windows only.

... I don't think I'll have time to play it very soon, but day one DRM-free launch and Linux support? Can't pass up on that. Wish more devs would spoil us with this sort of treatment.
