More info,Galaxy,System Specs, this is not a guessing game:)
I think i know already how to fix it
I mean i click play and nothing happens but its propably because next to The Witcher 3 is showed patch 1.12.1
And i don't have it yet. First i need to wait til every patch will download from gog

Ok,good luck:)
If it says Installed right above patch number and play button is green, then game should be already installed and ready to play. Share with us some more info about your setup, Windows version, GPU..

I have this problem since ever. The game has the latest patch, but most of the time the play button does almost nothing. It starts witcher3.exe, but it gets nowhere, no matter how long you wait. So, I either close it and do it again until it starts, or just launch the game directly with the witcher3.exe, from the game folder.

Could be some interference with other software, like antivirus, firewall.. or even drivers. I couldn't play The Witcher 3 with any of 35x.xx nvidia drivers. All I got was message I need dx11 card. 34x.xx and 36x.xx worked without any problems : )

Thank you, I might try my luck with the antivirus and firewall settings before the Blood and Wine expansion comes out. So far, I updated the GPU driver almost every time it had an update, but the game had the same problem every time.

I have yet to try it in Linux, considering it's killing my GPU in Windows, although, I did go overboard with the graphics settings.

Even if I could play it on better setup, I have close to 400 hours on gt 425m. Can you beat that? Ha! : )

run it as administrator

So far, I played the game once, almost a year ago, and then came back in October for the first expansion, with 125h, on a GeForce GTX 770.

bela555: run it as administrator
I just tried it myself, running witcher3.exe and/or GOG Galaxy as administrator didn't solve the launch issue.

Not even close : ) I also did about hundred more on 650, but I do like my old laptop much more for any computer stuff. Of course I had to play in lower resolution, but without any additional tweaks. And didn't kill my GPU. Finished the game twice so far and the only problems I had were drivers.
