I was wondering if planescape torment had a turn based combat style like original sin or is it more like neverwinter nights?
Real Time with Pause, so more like Neverwinter Nights.

Get your strength and weapons skills out for Planescape. You'll be facing hordes of enemies and the combat is fast paced and unrelenting. It's almost like a hack and slash. Not much dialog to speak of, though.

:)
It's pretty much like in the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series, real time with pause. Torment's combat really sucks though, nobody plays that game for its combat. Would probably have been better if they had left it out.

dunno, I played through it 4 times in a row to test how the different classes are on high levels. Combat is fun, too, don't knock its gameplay.
It's not that combat is bad, it's that everything else is out of this world. I don't see why the combat would be considered inferior to any other infinity rpg btw.

iirc spells and weapons selection is very limited in Planescape: Torment; and combat isn't nearly as deep as in Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale.
But then, that obviously wasn't Torment's focus anyway...when you've got a main character who's immortal, combat is bound to become more of a diversion (or chore) than a central part of the gameplay.
