Hi all,

first, thank you for the software you provide at low price. I enjoy the GOG games since a long time now and am very happy

I purchased recently a Macbook Air and have issues when installing game with "pkg" extension : the download is ok, and everything looks fine during the installation process. After giving my password and following the "next next" steps, the installer says everything went well, but I cannot see the game anywhere (and hence can't play). This issue occurs for both DoTT and Planescape Torment. Can you please help me fix this issue ?

Regards,

JF

Edit : problem solved : I had to chose the folder at the beginning of the installation, and if not, the installation says everything is ok but nothing occurs. Packages are correctly installed now

Hello jeanfredd,

i have the same issue with Planescape EE pkg - planescape__torment__enhanced_edition_en_3_1_3_12417.

On MacOs 10.10 the installer went fine on a 10.11 system it say its done, but the Folder is empty. On the beginning of the installation i can only choose the drive and near the end the Folder and then it says its done, but the folder on the 10.11 system is empty.

So how do you choose the folder at the beginning of the installation?

Merci,
elfK
I am having the same issue. Any solutions?

Edit: Ah there's a file dialog that pops up at the end. It's easy to close by mistake when you're doing lots of things at once

I'm having the same issue trying to install a downloaded Pillars of Eternity pkg file. Has anyone had any luck with this?

At the end of the installation, you should be prompted to select the installation location, please make sure that you choose the Applications directory and confirm the selection :)

If it doesn't work, please contact us via this form: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?form=technical
Our technical support will get back to you as soon as possible.
Hi Ashlee, thanks for the quick reply.

When the installation asks for an installation location it only lets you pick the hard drive where it will be installed. There is no way to choose a folder.

I'll use the link you provided to contact tech support. Just wanted to clarify this for others that might be having similar issues.

You first need to pick the hard drive. Later you will be prompted for the the folder. This thread has some discussion and workarounds if it's still not working for you. Simplest is to let the installer time out and it will default to /Applications.

Same issue here.

Sure, pointing to /Applications is fine, but what about the failed installation – was it just installed right into the void or did I just lose >1GB of disk space for nothing somewhere?
