johnnygoging: allods! I don't have either allods here. I only get games I intend to play at some point. and allods aren't games I'm interested in playing again.
I was unaware of this scrolling business. why is gog's binary different? did they ever say?
have you looked at this?

apehater: nope, they just don't give a shit about that, maybe cause they're still busy stuffing galaxy into our installers. there are too many games with way too many bugs, as i said gog gets your money and you get nuthin. fuck the greedy shareholders
I dunno I guess it seems like because it's serviceable at 1024x768 they're ignoring it. looking at this stuff now, I think I read you saying somewhere you prefer to use 640x480. sucks dude.
I'm curious enough to noodle with this myself, take a look at why the patch isn't working. it could be the offsets have changed but the structure is the same so once you relocated them the edit could be made.
when you talk about patching binaries by hand and offering separate downloads, I wonder how that complicates things with the publisher and in dealing with the rest of their titles. so perhaps that's why there's no fix. in Divinity, D3D won't run without using wined3d or a compatibility layer. ah well don't know what else to say about it.
I hadn't seen this before today though
