i have the physical release of "LEGO Harry Potter years 5-7" on XBOX 360
would i get the pc version free because of that

That's almost never how it works, my friend. Devs, publishers and distributors have to make money, after all!

some sites do do that from time to time.
Origin did it with Sims 2. I called in with the serial number on the case and they transferred the game to my Origin account.

Of course that was rare, and they only did it because they were pulling Sims2 from all stores for the release of #3.

Like I said, usually not the case. It'd be nice, but it's extremely uncommon.
