I added some more photos to my flickr thing:

:-)
I just got back from taking my new lens combo out for a spin, I'm reasonably happy. But, I'm sure as I get more used to it, the photos will get better.

Never seen this topic here. I really need to get back into photography. Though I prefer nature shots. Attached is one of my favorites I have taken (had to resize due to limits).

Great picture. Where was it taken?

I practiced a lot with my ND filter, it's a great tool, but I learned that I can't just rely on it and let it do all the job for me. I made many mistakes, but I still have a couple of decent pictures. Here is one taken in Door County, Wisconsin (fantastic place).

That was at Mt Rainier in Washington State. My rental car didn't have snow chains, so I had to park and then walk a little way until I came to a bridge where I took that one. I don't think it's actually Rainier, but it's at the national park.

I recently bought a statuette of Mary Jane of Spiderman fame. I don't have a great place or way to display it yet, so I took about 5 quick shots of it. Then I made a little wallpaper image from it so I can enjoy it while it sits in its box.

The side light got me to some degree. You can see in the B&W part where it cuts a hard line across the shoulders. I didn't take more than about 4 or 5 shots, because I wasn't sure how fade resistant the paint used is and didn't want to artificially age her.

Fix focal lens of 55mm @ F9. ISO 100.

Nikon D610 + D300s and 70-200mm vr and 50mm 1.4,1.8, And my all time favorite lense the nikkor 85mm 1.4

It's a relaxing hobby to do and taking pictures with models on modelmayhem is always a fun time.

For a good begginer camera go with a D5300 DX format with a 50mm 1.8, You will create such amazing work with that little thing and its a great entry into manual settings JUST FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NEVER GO AUTO.... AND DONT USE BUILT IN FLASH its horrid and shit on any camera even the top end pro cameras its crap, Just buy a external flash for 50 bucks used and that will do much better if you want too get into flash photography.

I can't take all the credit, nature is just so photogenic. It did snow pretty heavily while I was up there. I'm still looking for the rest of the photos from that day. I think I had a hard drive crash that destroyed most of them...before I started my extreme backup routine procedures.
Here's a couple from my Juneau Glacier album. Though the Juneau pictures were taken with my point and shoot.

Well, sort of semi-pro. It's not my actual job. But thank you! I mean, I think that was a compliment. 8)

Well you can take credit for being there like how someone can take credit for shooting a shot with nice rising sunlight but I can't be bothered yet to wake up at 4-5am to do that, yet hehe. What lens are you using?
