Nice images, I have been considering the D90 or D5000 as my next camera purchase. Did you consider the D5000? What sold you on the D90?
How's this one? Current camera 7.2 mega pixel Sony Cyber-shot DSW-W120 Black

Go with the D90. In-camera lens motor means you can get older lens for cheaper and still have auto-focus. It's steps over the D50000 which really is just the new entry-level generation.

I am leaning towards the D90 as I have several Nikkor lenses from my F2 which I believe will work with the D90. Disappointed with the new plastic lens mounts. Price, not sure I really want to invest that much in a camera yet again . . . =)
Not particularly fond of the D5000 design especially the limited Vari-angle LCD monitor which seems to be hinged in the wrong place. The price difference makes it attractive though. Looked at the D3 and D700, laughed about them, forgot about them . . . =)
I'm afraid that I can't help you very much Stuff. I have started photography less than a year ago (actually, it will be a year at the end of june). I wanted a DSLR nice enough to last for years and user friendly.

Thanks anyway, I'm not really in a hurry to purchase a camera . . . just doing some inquires since I haven't upgrade my SLR to digital yet. I believe you made an excellent choice with the D90 . . . probably what I will end up with as well. . . . =)
I really like the composition and quality of the images you have posted BTW.
Thanks. I'm going to try some HDR pictures this summer, I'm just waiting for good subjects. :D

Hope you will post some links. I was into 4x5's for the longest while, loved the tones, luminosity range and clarity they produce but . . . it was SOOO much equipment to lug around.
Edit: You're in FRANCE . . . surrounded by images !!! . . .=)

Beautiful state, I will be hoping for some great landscapes from you and your D90 . . . =)
I had a friend quit his job and move there just for the fishing =D
i use a Canon 400D at the moment
tons of photos here www.davescoffin.com/gallery
I like your "Seagull6".
Edit : your "Penshaw1" is great too, awesome subject. if I want to be picky I would say that the bush in the middle bothers me. Typically the kind of picture that deserves a HDR treatment.

I'll try to find a way to get it online, but my stuff is 35mm hand-printed so I don't have digital copies yet.
EDIT: I use an old minolta, not sure which model, and a nikon n90s
