I know there have been several threads about the purple notification dot next do "Forum replies" in the community dropdown menu not disappearing. But I think the problem I'm having now is a different one, and I couldn't find any discussion about it in the forums yet.

Right now I have a permanent purple notification dot in the header bar itself, between the Support and profile menus (but seemingly belonging to the profile menu). None of the dropdown menus have a notification dot, so I'm not even sure what it's trying to notify me about. I have no unread forum replies, no new chat messages, nor anything else I could think of that could explain that dot. I visited pretty much every personal and community page on GOG and still couldn't find out, or get it to disappear.

Is anyone else having the same problem, or has had it before?

As the link said, try pressing F12 and then in the browser console, paste this line and press ENTER:-

angular.element(document.body).injector().get('menuNotificationsRepository').deleteAllNotifications();

Thanks! That's a thread I didn't find in my search… it would be very helpful if GOG's forum search allowed us to sort by date of last reply.
The fix worked! That's some peace of mind back :)

It did! But now it's actually in the correct place (next to the Community label, and next to Forum replies). So, at least it's different… yay, I guess?
I assume a user script auto-running the code from above could help.
