So I've been eyeballin' the coming installment in the Far Cry franchise, Primal. It looks quite good to be honest.
It feels like fresh air, because for the first time in a long time (is that how you say it?), we're not playing as an either ankle tattooed twenty something crybaby on a remote paradise island, or a lost son returning home. No, now we're cavemen with muscles on muscles! We get to hunt freaking mammoths with spears! No freaking SMG's here baby! No aiming down the sights! No "Ramirez get to the burgershop's roof"! Damn, I got myself excited now!

Well FarCry1 was superb, number 2 was rubbish, open world with nothing really happening, didn't seem real at all, no story etc. Haven't bothered with 3 as yet.

FC3 is better than the second but shittier than the first.

Uhm, was trying to figure it out from where i've seen your avatar then i remember it, Irving Force. :)

As for Far Cry Primal, eh, i feel like it would work better as a standalone expansion (alas Blood Dragon) not sure if it will have enough content for an open world game, different games but i'm more interested in Wild (ps4).

They should really make a follow up to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. I liked it a lot more than Far Cry 3.

The first Far Cry is still the best, Far Cry 2 was OK to me but is still not a game I'm willing to replay.
Far Cry 3 and 4 did not interest me at all.

Far Cry Primal is clearly inspired by all the survival games that have been trending for some time now: Rust, The Forest, Stranded Deep, Ark and so on.

It is certainly a fresh idea as far as triple-a is concerned, and that should be applauded, but unless a new Far Cry copies the very first game I'm not going to be interested in actually buying the game, watching a walkthrough is enough.

Minus the blood red sky and re textured grass, I loved it way more than 3.

We need more lazer dragons and less hipsters.

Definetly the best game in the series. Only game in the series I have player through.

Any game that uses Uplay should not excite anyone given the malicious code it has carried (for and by Ubisoft) in the past and the history of buggy and/or broken releases that have launched on the platform. This is not even touching the annoyance of having to run 2 clients every time you want to play your game.
