Wishbone: It does, several in fact, but not one you'd use in this context.

Lemon_Curry: I would have used 'fanden' instead. :)
Oh sure, there are plenty of Danish curse words you could have put there instead, but not one that means "fuck". I mean, I couldn't very well have said "hvad knep har du røget" without sounding like a complete idiot.

Besides, "fuck" is such a versatile word ;-)

Well, I'd argue 'fuck' is the misused word in that sentence (whether or not it's intended to retain any of its original meaning).

Anyway, I thought Avogadro6's question was about the meaning of 'fuck' within the context - not as a singled out word - so my apologies for misunderstanding. :)

Well, you're probably right on both accounts, so there's definitely no need to apologize ;-)

Certainly the use of the English word "fuck" in Danish as demonstrated by me makes no grammatical sense. It is however a common way of using the word in Danish, at least in the circles I travel in.

DieRuhe: Joke time!

Q: If you're riding a ten-speed down a paved hill at 20 miles per hour and the left pedal falls off, how many pancakes can you stuff in an elephant's ear?

A: None, because ice cream doesn't have bones!!!

Very well, then I'm terribly sorry about that! :)
