It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

MSE is all you need. Doesn't even have to be porn for you to get something malicious. I've gotten something through Javascript via a gaming website, so it's not entirely safe regardless. It saved me though, so despite what people say, MSE isn't all that bad.

ShadowWalker56: Thanks, Snowkatt, I appreciate your help. :)

I haven't, either. That's what surprised me but I guess anything's possible. Any suggestions on a free new firewall and ant-virus?

I have no idea to be honest, I'm still on windows 7. Sorry.
Avira - get offline installer (216MB)
I wouldn't recommend MSE.

I don't use any antivirus, as I think they are shit. But I do use a firewall, this one. It is quite simple, but I think it does the job fairly well.

useless
My firewall always blocks Doom 64 EX binaries (f#ck!), free console emulators (usually adverts plugins and scanning applets), pop-up links from poor sites with lots of banner ads, for some reason many official pages of a person contains some scanning cookie gift. And never any problems with >>Porn<< sites (more or less popular ones). Or maybe porn sites programmers are so good, who knows.
Most common problem with my *friends* is: "Oh, I just installed some free software from some site. I don't remember exactly" ;)

I'll check them both out. What about Zonealarm? Is it any good?

ShadowWalker56: No, it came from a site I go to all the time. My computer was infected with trojans and malware and it made it so I couldn't get to the desktop so I had to format my HD and t hen run an anti-virus and malware software to clean it up. Tiny if you have nothing to say that is constructive why don't you post somewhere else?

snowkatt: well thats how tinyP rolls
its all in good spirit roll with the punches and have a bit of humor it will do you good
I don't find it to be good spirit most of the time. Most of what he does is derail or just say stupid or ignorant shit because he thinks it is funny, or further, he thinks it is funny to troll/upset people intentionally. Once in a great while he makes a post I don't have issues with or I actually find funny, but that is quite rare. I'm really sick of it and it has been going on since before I started in the forums. When I initially came to participate in the forums, I got sucked into the stupidity of TinyE and had a horrible experience here and didn't come back for months, and I'm sure he's having this effect on many people. I wish he'd just fucking leave as I see him mostly as a cancer of the forums. Of course, he's likely the sort of ass that will stay even longer now that I said that.

I use MSE but almost never need to "use" it. After I browse any page that I'm unfamiliar with or know has crappy ads and other scripted shit in their pages, I use CCleaner to wipe it all and it's spectacular, IMO.

Any internet security will not do you any good if your PC is already infected. It's like treating real-life viruses: once they in your body you will never get rid of them.
