We have some good news for all you PayPalers (or should we say PayPals?) – starting today, we’re adding PayPal Vault to our payment methods.

This optional feature allows you to securely save your PayPal payment information and make game purchases on GOG even smoother, as you won’t have to re-authenticate the PayPal payment every time you choose this method.

Using PayPal Vault, you’re not sharing any PayPal information with GOG – we only store a unique token that is used in secured communication with PayPal. You can remove your vaulted PayPal accounts on GOG at any time by going to your account's ORDERS & SETTINGS section (this option is currently only available on the website, while it will be introduced in GOG GALAXY at a later date).

And if my gog account is hacked i will have a hole in my Paypal bank account. As a Paypal user, no thanks. I prefer login with Paypal and sms verification every time.

the token is stored locally. Hacking your account provides nothing in that case. GOG's security has to meet specific standards to qualify to use this feature.
Now's the perfect time to release Fallout 4!! :P
Nice, definitely appreciated, I am sure people will like that.
I wanted to have this option several years ago, but now I am used to pay with one of the other options.

Nothing wrong with having options.

no, it's not. I was offering the info for anyone else reading the thread who may want to use this but have fears that it isn't safe.

What you are doing is totally fine if it makes you feel more secure and it is actually more secure this way, and even big Internet companies are hacked, so you are right to be careful.

Also, a lot of banks are legally bound to reimburse you if you have been hacked and stolen, but with fraud increasing and pseudo victims arrangeing their own hacks (money "stolen" by accomplices), banks are more and more reluctant to pay you back especially if you can't prove that you applied a minimum of security to your payment methods.

BTW, I find this GOG's announcement worringly shallow, they should explain us in broad terms what's happening with this new procedure, because my common sense tells me that less verification steps mean more risks.
No Thank You! I will continue to use Privacy Virtual Cards for there protection and security

Yup, they made it smooth, operator.
Let's make a bet? How long will it take for PayPal to find out GOG sells porn and block the payment method and all pending transaction money from GOG altogether?
