BrokenToyLol: When I try purchasing a game on GOG Galaxy and I proceed to the checkout stage where I enter my card information, the "Pay for your order now" button is greyed out. I have tried selecting other games and I have the same problem. I have tried restarting my client and running with administrative privileges, but it doesn't fix it. I have changed my currency to Australian Dollars (AUD) and the problem persists.
Can anyone help, please?
I have attached a screenshot to show the problem.
Thanks.
Geralt_of_Rivia: Are you perhaps trying to buy a game as a gift? If the answer is yes then that would be the reason.
New accounts can't buy gifts because there has been a lot of misuse. The fraud "New accounts buying giftcodes with stolen CC and selling the codes off to unaware buyers who have the game removed from their account when the CC owner disputes the charge" has become pretty common when The Witcher 3 was released.
Since then buying gifts has been made impossible for new accounts.
I'm not trying to buy it as a gift. Indeed, the option to buy it as a gift is greyed out.
You talk about a fraud prevention measure.
Maybe the system recognises that my account is new, and so it blocks me from making purchases until a specified amount of time? I'm not sure if this is the case but it would certainly make sense.
EDIT: To be clear, I don't intend on committing any kind of fraud. I just want to buy a game so I can enjoy my holidays. Haha.
