The developer of Stardew Valley has been consistent with updates on Steam, but the updates are not coming fast enough on GOG. For instance, he released patch 1.04 about 14 hours ago on Steam and it still hasn't appeared on GOG. I had to play the game unpatched all weekend (and it desperately needed it) because apparently your staff has to be present in order for a game to be updated. Why has this game not been updated all day? This has strongly made me reconsider using GOG for future purchases (at least for new games).

I tried submitting this issue via the troubleshooting section but it required a DXDiag.

Ah, it's always nice to break the news to the new users. GOG tests the patches out and sometimes the developer isn't timely about sending the patches to GOG's side. Otherwise, the patching process is just fine.

Patching is being overhauled young friend for Galaxy users... be patient and hopefully soon this will be all but a distant memory.

Also Judas said the dev has not submitted the new patch to GOG yet... so maybe ask him what is going on?

You are right (in my opinion). The release of patches on gog is really slow. So I will buy only old games here and new ones at another store.

See here (for example):

Ape has submitted the patch. I asked him via twitter.

Pretty much this. Between testing and time zone differences, GOG patches tend to take a bit longer.
Patch was submitted according to Ape. Also, keep in mind the time zone difference between Ape (Seattle, WA) and Poland is pretty huge.

That said, I am hopelessly addicted to SDV myself, and get antsy at the thought of getting left behind on patches.

Also, hurry the hell up GOG! :-D

Most new games are bugfests. I don't even bother playing before 2-3 months after release.
What the heck is going on here? Several friendly, informative, intelligent posts and no flames? Yep, this is definitely not Steam...

So Judas says he has not received the patch, but ConcernedApe says it has been submitted? Is there possibly a mix-up somewhere?

No mix up. When I said what I said about the patch, the tweet about the update wasn't posted AFAIK. I was between reboots as I am Linux distro hopping atm so I may have missed it being posted earlier.

I think Judas meant they didn't have it when he left work... it's like 10PM in Poland now and it looks like it was sent only an hour or two ago.

Judas said it will be up tomorrow.

EDIT: Speak of the devil and he shall appear. xD

This rarely happens. Huh. We should patch it immediately.
