Maxvorstadt: I`m no American! :-)
avatar
zeogold: Yeah, I was kinda worried that you guys wouldn't get it, but at the same time, I wanted it to be a super password that couldn't be guessed too quickly.
Seeing as the all non-American team got it, I guess it wasn't all that bad.

Maxvorstadt: How was your vacation? i hope you enjoiyed (I guess I wrote this wrong) it. :-)
avatar
zeogold: Absolutely wonderful. I have many a story of the things I've seen.
I considered making a thread about it, but that'd probably be a bit selfish/feed my ego more than is necessary, so if anybody wishes to hear me prattle on about it, just contact me via PM.

Only thing you had wrong there was adding the extra "i" in "enjoyed".
avatar
PaterAlf: "Schokobanane"
avatar
zeogold: ...I'm assuming this means "chocolate banana", but that sounds like a torture device of some sort. O_o
Damn, I didn`t see the "i" in "enjoyed". :-D
Well, if you`ve seen interesting things, it would be nice to read of them.
Oh, and pictures of course! We germans love a good Diashow. :-)

Oktoberfest as a whole is a torture device so you are not completely wrong. ;)

Bad music, ultra-expensive beer and drunken/aggressive cliché Germans in ridiculous dresses and leather trousers. I'd rather spend a day in a torture chamber than on the Oktoberfest.

*hides before Max comes back and sees this post* ;)

Oans, zwoa ... g`suffa!
But to be honest, I was only three or four times on the Oktoberfest. It`s too crowdy, too loud and too much money milking, especially now when they forbid rucksucker!!! :D

Apparently Oktoberfest is a big thing in the Cincinnati area too... it was... a bit weird.

One band at least though was a real German (was it Bavarian though...?) one.

I thought that was just every other Tuesday in Germany.

Edit: Wait...I'd heard about the polka and lederhosen, but...leather trousers...? O_o

There's an annual Oktoberfest in my area as well, although it isn't that big. I'm not sure how it became such a "thing". Mostly because it's an excuse to drink a lot of alcohol, probably.

I've played every single game from the beginning of this thread and so I will take a break and let the other four play this time.

Problem solved. :)

Rucksack is German for backpack. The american stepfather of a friend of mine always called it rucksucker, it was meant as a joke.
