i'd like to know more video games with parrots as main or minor npc's, or sidekicks in them (if possible, without getting spoiled). or parrots that are in the game and have at least some influence on the gameplay or story. like in starship titanic, where a parrot playes a minor npc role or is a sidekick. not like in mgs2 where a parrot in a cage is in one room as a decorative extra.

In Cosmonautica, the main questgiver/tutorial NPC in a malfunctionning robot parrot that will comment most of your progress. Annoying lil' bugger.

The Secret of Monkey Island springs to mind.

Edit:
Admittedly, it's only there very briefly (at least the one I'm thinking of, there are probably others in the other games that I can't recall at the moment), but you do need to interact with it as part of the storyline.

In the Microsoft Hoyle board and card games you can play against a parrot. Cpt Scurvy is his name I believe.

You can have a pet parrot in Viva Pinata - a Parrybo. Though, it may not count since it's actually a pinata species, not a actual parrot.

Serious Sam TSE didn't have any "Parrots" but one of the monster makes parrot's sound in it.

In Colonel's Bequest, a parrot named Polly plays a key role. That is, gives you an important info if you feed it crackers.

Maybe you should check out Fin Fin, it's about an animal that's half bird half dolphin.. that's pretty close to being a parrot.

There's a pirate-themed adventure game called "Jolly Rover", where a talking parrot is the main character's sidekick and basically acts as the game's hint system.
