Majesty for $1.99? I'd strongly recommend that for anyone in the mood for a nontraditional strategy game. Just don't expect to complete it, it becomes damn near impossibly difficult towards the end

ignisferroque: Quite tempted to buy Pillars of Eternity, but if it gets a 50 percent discount here anytime soon id be annoyed, so ill probably skip... tempting though.
I wouldn't buy anything from Steam when there is an alternative on GOG. Period. That being said, PoE is an awesome game, I'm playing it right now (225h logged so far). I am sure it will be discounted even more on GOG as well at some time in the future, especially when the second expansion will come (December). On that thought, I would recommend for you to wait for the second part of White Marshes to be released. The first one was awesome, and I really would have liked to continue.
You can still find physical copies of Victoria 2 in some places, if you'd rather not use steam for it. I bought a copy from Office Max (of all places) a few months back. Paid something like $5 for it. The DLC is digital only, though.
I'm tempted to get Cities: Skylines myself, I doubt that's going to show up on GOG anytime soon but you never know.
No Steam sale will ever make me buy anything there and with the release of id Software games on GOG now the chances are literally 0.
Surely I already bought them all in that big bundle thing in Winter 2011?
I'm currently waiting for Pillars of Eternity to go on sale again on GOG.

That would be just capital.
Which paradox sale and what's Steam?

Good one, that's the spirit :)

Probably around the time of Part 2 for Winter Something or Other. Promotional sales and all that noise.
Bought Cities Skylines after seeing this thread, I must be doing it wrong!

REALLY hoping the next Paradox release wave gets Skylines. I haven't played a good modern city builder since... well, since Sim City 4.

Yes, that would be a great addition here. :) Plus there is a real possibility of that making it here before Crusader Kings 2 and other Paradox games.

Yes same for me, i don't hate Steam or anything, but when i have the chance then id rather buy it here. Thanks for the hint... i can wait, just playing through Neverwinter Nights 2 before looking into Pillars anyway. Guess that will take a while ;)
