Is any of you guys tempted to buy something from the current Paradox sale on Steam?

I really want Victoria II and Europa Universalis IV but I am restraining myself in the hope that they will eventually make their way to GOG. Are my hopes misplaces? I really hope not.
With release of Metro, Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein on gog I believe any thing is possible.
May be not soon but eventually.

There's a sale on steam?

Seriously i don't use steam or check the site at all so i wouldn't know what sales are going on anymore...
I'm thinking of grabbing the EU4 DLC I'm missing, I fell behind three of them ago and they are apparently really good. As for them showing up on GOG, Paradox is here, but EU4 is in the middle of its lifespan so that's unlikely to show up until its run its course.

Vicky2 might though, its last expansion came out a while ago, although the Vicky games are a little... rough. Paradox for a while made fascinating games that were a little janky and buggy and had bizarre and poorly explained mechanics. They've gotten better, and that's not to say the games from before are bad, but their games pre-Crusader Kings 2 are all in that area, and unfortunately Vicky2 is square in there.

Edit: Also the pre-CK2 games had this annoying thing where the expansions are basically needed, patches released after are only for the expansion, even if it's something that would affect pre-expansion stuff too, and in pretty much all cases the expansions are pretty much necessary to get the best experience. Vicky2, for example, is nowhere near as good a game without the expansions. Post-CK2 they've added a bunch of stuff in every patch, even if you don't get the DLC, it's pretty sweet.

Not really since I have most of the Paradox games I want already :)

I guess that Victoria II has a chance of being released this or the next year, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait till Paradox is done with Europa Universalis IV (that is, no more DLCs/patches), before they would think about bringing it here (hell, we don't have Europa Universalis III here yet). I guess the chances of Europa Universalis IV here would become better when Paradox releases Europa Universalis V.

What? Are they good?

"Check Paradox sale"

Holy...... so many DLC. Well I may consider after Victoria 3 and EU 5 comes out. I am sure if I buy now more DLC will pop up again like Crusader Kings 2.
I'm tempted to complete my Crusader Kings 2 , and to get Ancient Space. But on the other had, I'm restricting myself whenever I consider adding anything to my Steam account.

It's quite clear that EUIV still has to extend it's DLC universe. This is what I came to distaste in Paradox's business model. Maybe when the definitive edition exists, maybe. I'd rather buy EUIII again on GOG ( have it on disks) than EUIV on Steam...
i'm not into most of paradox's games, but if you are into roguelikes go get teleglitch. it's hard, deadly and fun. also only 2,50 € me thinks.
edit: it's scifi, so don't expect magic or dragons.

Nah, not really. Most of paradox doesn't catch the eye except Crusader Kings 2, Magicka, and Impire.

Plus, if I keep my purchases to GOG; that will save me money, because I don't have the choice of just about every game available.
No, even if they game them away its not worth it.
I got some more DLC for Crusader Kings 2 and EU IV. Haven't played EU IV enough yet for it to be worth it. But Crusader Kings 2 is one of my all time favourite games.
Thank you all for your answers.

I have also gotten a few left over DLCs for CK2 that were on 75% off. I love that game so I have invested in it. I've never played any of the EU series, but CK2 has a DLC that let's you continue your kingdom into EU4, which sounds cool.

I also think that Victoria II might come soon to GOG because the development seems finished, and it already has a Complete DLC package. So I'll definitely hold of on that one.

EU4 on the other hand seems way too new and still in development for it to pop on GOG.

But hey, my gaming queue is anyway too big to worry about lack of gaming :) That being said, I try to stay as much as possible away from Steam, but with some game you just can't.

EDIT: When EUIII will come to GOG it will be an instant buy. At least to get into the series.

Got my eyes on a few DLC's for CK2 and EU4 (small stuff, mind you) and a couple of games. Best deal i had was in the build a Humble Paradox Bundle, when i got quite a bit of the Paradox's stuff at highly decent prices
Quite tempted to buy Pillars of Eternity, but if it gets a 50 percent discount here anytime soon id be annoyed, so ill probably skip... tempting though.
