I know my opinion may seem extreme to some, but I think the entire concept is stupid and ridiculous and maybe even dangerous in the long run.
I'm suspect of course, since I only buy my games on GOG.
I'm also alarmed by the way the author of the article just seems to dismiss the issue of eventual future dangers of game-subscription (which are inherent to every streaming service, of course). Like running out of $ and suddenly you can't play your beloved game anymore.
Still if you're a Steam user (and you have to always be online to play certain games) why not just pay less in order to play those same games? I somehow can see the logic behind it.
What do you good folks think of this?

And why the f#ck is Crusader Kings 2 still not on GOG, Paradox?!!?! :(
