HereForTheBeer: That Steam thingy? Maybe? Not sure. Probably something that will forever be compatible with every single Wintel-PC game ever created, with built-in emulators for every single console ever created, and also for older PCs like the Amiga, VIC-20, etc and even the old Apple computers. And that will be forever compatible with every single device driver ever. And will take up about 60kB on your hard drive. And boots like, ya know, RIGHT NOW! And lets you choose between GUI and command line. And can never get a virus or malware.
And is, of course, DRM-free.
edit: misplaced apostrophe, I think
NovumZ: I may indeed live in an alternate dimension; since no one voted on my wishlist. And is, of course, DRM-free.

This is probably best answer. That SteamOS is surely closest to definition right now. Design only for gaming, flexible enough to add as many emulator as you can get to play anything that can be played. Of couse biggest fault is it's incapability to play lots of windows games. Wine helps a lot, but some are missing. And is, of course, DRM-free.

Although it surely more suited to be put on console, or specialize hardware such as SteamBox. Because I would expect my pc to be used for many more than just gaming

I get what you mean, though. Would be nice to have an issue-free OS that could deal with 40+ years of games on multiple platforms using umpteen OSes from over the years. Actually, considering those 40 years of technological march, things could be worse.

In all seriousness, what you are asking for is prohibitively difficult at best, impossible at worst. First, the majority of games are developed for and using Windows proprietary software and APIs, so to get a "Gamer's OS" up and running you would either have to develop your own APIs or use open standard APIs, then convince the entire game industry to switch to your systems. Second, the hardware. Manufacturers like Nvidia and AMD only really produce hardware drivers for Windows and Linux (and Linux is mostly an afterthought), so you would also need to convince them to produce a third driver branch for an OS that no one is likely to be using because of my first point. They aren't even the only ones you would have to convince: manufacturers of hard drives, network cards, sound and controller chipsets... really every internal component of a machine. Lastly, the basic functionality for a brand new OS is not something you can just whip together, it would take probably years of development, testing and a massive financial investment before it was even remotely usable (see ReactOS for an example of this. 18 years of development and it's still in alpha). This is all before anyone can even start making games for the OS. Even Valve, with all its market power, funding and apparent free time (since they aren't working on HL3) has so far failed to get its gaming system, SteamOS, into the mainstream, and they took the shortcut of building it on Linux, eliminating most of the issues I listed. So really, it's a nice thought, but just a pipe dream.

So you're basically asking for XBox One and/or PS4 OS?

Cogadh.
I'm thinking GOG OS; like what Valve did with steam OS more or less. So yes; based off of Linux OS (no need to start from scratch).
-Games DRM Free Baby!
