Crewdroog: hahaha, tree simulator GA just made my day. Nothing like watching paint dry! wonder what the achievements are like?
One of the achievements should be: "Grow at least one leaf during Autumn"... (:P)

LOL, Thats what I did. How bad are those 2 games that you can't even give them away.

Well, somebody might be allergic to orange juice.
I really wanted 100% OJ -- I even traded for it! :D Of course, the GOG forum members are predominantly male, from what I gather, and I think that the game is more geared at females, but ya know~ ;D

Dunno, I thought they were interesting in some of the videos i watched. Looks like not many people share the same sentiment.

I think you'll find most gaming forums are predominantly male. I think females can enjoy gaming just as much as males, it's probably due to a more cultural reason than anything else that there are fewer. There does seem to be more games coming out now that can appeal to females and more female protagonists showing up in games. It should be a large, and mostly untapped market for game devs to target.

True, of course, as far as mainstream gaming goes. Casual gaming, on the other hand, is geared mostly towards females (as evidenced by the near absence of males on the Big Fish forums... back when they had a forum, that is.)
Have those on Steam. Played them a bit, still have to finish them (should have loads of free time soonish - due to reasons...). Loved 99 Spirits, didn't got too deep into 100% OJ, so i can't say if it's good or bad.

99 Spirits has a nice story, though the gameplay can be repetitive at times. Still, i do like what i saw. But, hey, i love me japanese stuff, so i might be considered biased...

P.S.: and i like a lot of the old Big Fish stuff.

@genkicoleen ever tried the Women's Murder Club game series?!

I own them all, but haven't played any of them yet -- my eldest absolutely loves them, though. One of my favorite IHOG series is Brink of Consciousness. I enjoyed the heck out of both of them!
Forgot about Brink of....Might pick them up on a sale. What can i say - i just love good stories, which makes me a perfect victim for the visual novels stuff.

SpeedBo: If you didn't catch it, I was trying to be sarcastic.

Its really not much of a game at all, you just stand there and... and... well that's about it.
Hence my initial shock, a game watching a tree growing? I have had a couple of drinks so I took you literally :D

Maybe you can choose a strangler fig and work on invading a host tree, controlling the stranglers DNA for mutations which cause less damage to the host to make it less initially noticeable and insidious, kinda like plague inc. Zooming in at a molecular level to manipulate the helix and trying to build an empire from a sapling.

I just googled it though and it looks like you are just a tree and your looking around in a forest and thats it :s
