xckx: Once I give you the game you can do whatever you want with it.

Also PM sent. Enjoy!

Spinorial: I don't particularly agree with the given carte blanche, but I'm still grateful for the gift, thanks :-)
If it was a Big game then it might be different but I just say that because it came from a bundle that was 10 games for $3.00 or something which makes the game 30 cents if you average it so its like meh whatever.

Also you're welcome.

Did you keep the DRM-free copy with the bundle, or does that transfer with the gift? Or do you not really know ;)

Gift links for games in Humble Bundles contains only the Steam game.

So I checked and I still have the link to the DRM Free version. I will never use the DRM free link since I have the game on steam.

Since we're on this subject what is the deal with Humble bundle?
I got the "Humble Weekly Bundle: Strategy!" and redeemed the eador game on GOG.
But there is also the redeem/gift option for the same game on steam......
Did I get 2 copies of the game? Is this a glitch or is it intentional?
Can I gift the second copy or will I lose the game from GOG too?

phandom:
It is intentional, you can gift the second copy.

You won't lose the game from GOG or the DRM-Free copy from Humble.

You won't loose your GOG copy, but you're not supposed to give away the Steam key when you redeemed the game on GOG. As far as I understand it, you got one license for the game when you bought the bundle. They give you the choice where to redeem the game (or even to reddem it on both services for yourself), but you shouldn't double the license by keeping one key for yourself and giving away the second one. It's not fair to the developers in my eyes.

I believe Humble sometimes does include multiple licenses of games in bundles. For example, according to the Gifting Steam Keys support page: "The gifting process will only give the recipient the Steam key. If there is a soundtrack or DRM Free copy of the game in the bundle, you will still retain ownership of it and it will stay on your download page." I don't see anything mentioned about keys for multiple platforms, probably because it still isn't very common, but if they are both listed as separate keys and the gifting function isn't deactivated after redeeming one, I would assume that they're two licenses at least from a legal standpoint (whether it's fair to the developers or not is another question).

Yes, i think that you get 2 licences too. Otherwise they wouldn't let you create a gift link for the Steam version after redeeming the GOG version.
I still have the gift link for Inescapable (this is the link to the game's steam page) on Steam if anyone is interested. :)

No, you just get one license. This is from their FAQ:

"Can I sell/give away my keys?
Each purchase is intended for use by one individual."

http://support.humblebundle.com/customer/portal/articles/243221-can-i-sell-give-away-my-keys-

I never understood why they started to give out Steam keys for individual games and not the whole bundle.
