Oh c'mon, could you ******* ****** please stop downrepping newbies for saying "Thank you"? Yes, he just recently registered and yes, the only post he made (so far? remember: registered in May!) was to get a free game. So what? At least he said "Thank you", which should show that he could be a nice person! AND I didn't see lugum say "First forum regular with 1000 rep to say..."

Please, stop the downrepping. Downrepping newbies is exactly what summons "Why do I have negative rep?" threads and makes people grabbing codes without even giving a thanks. And it makes us look stupid. What do you think is a newbie thinking in this situation? I'll tell you: "Weird place... First they offer you a free game, then they hate you for taking it. I better leave."

Apparently there are certain folks here that have nothing better to do then to impose their ideals by stalking others on various threads based on their years of expertise in the art of profiling all kinds of behavior. I totally agree with you and this is exactly what I highlighted in my post on the forum experience thread. This kind of reception will turn away everyone that atleast responds with a "thank you" when they receive something from a the person that is giving it away out of genersoity but a third party which has nothing to do with it is there to impose their judgement with a down rep and possibly turn potential new contributors to the forum into silent lurkers.

Anyway apologies to xckx as it is not my intention to derail this thread. As always many thanks to you xkcx for your seemingly endless generosity and +rep as always. :)
