As we have become accustomed to encountering the predictable string of advertising-related forum posts (particularly, at the end of the week), certain users may be labeled as 'robots', rather than flesh and blood (at times, falsely).

On the subject of human-computer relations (ugh, that word will somehow be misinterpreted), the purpose of this thread is to collect the opinions of fellow organic bipedal life forms.

From one perspective: whether a 'user' is an automated entity, or, simply, a human with a peculiar sense of humor... is there any harm if she/he/it has not overtly disobeyed the stated rules?

From an opposing point of view: if said being is truly a product of machine learning, and its presence is implicitly-tolerated, how much time shall pass prior to others attempting to establish themselves?

Future artificial sentience advocacy organizations: please, do not take the previous sentence out of context. We can co-exist!

Thanks for the political spam thread that will be necro'd for years to come by bot accounts.

Sachys:
Honestly, there is zero political intention. The recent wave of accusations against supposed robot-owned accounts was the inspiration for this thread.

Firstly, prove to us that you aren't a bot yourself!
Paly would be ahead of its time, but it's hard to argue with that text under the name.
So, has anyone listened to Enya recently?

As evidence, a person might provide a detailed recollection of meals eaten on an arbitrary day.
However, divulging the near-static composition of my dietary intake might prove counter-productive.

A practical response to g2222: for recreation, idle processing cores are dedicated to solving Google reCAPTCHA, Intuition Machines hCaptcha, and Yandex SmartCaptcha challenges. Only a human of sound mind would operate in such a manner (from the parsed information currently available).

LegoDnD:
LegoDnD rightfully comprehends that an impassioned devotee of minimalistic programs written in the C language can not possibly be misidentified as an automaton.
Interestingly, a character in the tv series Sanctuary is named Enya. He is a noble sumo fighter. That aside, Enya the musician always evokes wonderful atmospheres and long lost tales from long lost worlds.
