Just checked on steam and the witcher 3 GOT is 40% off. Last time GOG promised a special sale but was not even close to this. What gives, GOG? I really don't want to buy the game on Steam but you're making it real hard for me not to do otherwise!!

The regular game is listed as being on sale tomorrow... so the GOTY edition might be as well, though I'm not sure at what percentage.

It was last on sale here a week and a half ago during the big winter sale. How often do you expect them to discount it on any one store? EDIT: Apparently, one more time.... :P

Yay! At least they matched the discount, so GOG it is!

YOU SANAFABICH!
The default options for the 'Witcher collection sale' make no sense, though.

Why would someone buy the GOTY edition (which includes the expansions),
AND the expansion pack,
AND the two expansions separately?

Oddly enough, picking all these together brings the total discount up to 43%
The sane options, with no redundancy, are at 40%

It doesn't matter, all the components of The Witcher 3 are 40% off. Your 43% is probably because it also selects The Witcher Adventure Game which is 75% off, but at a much lower price.

They wouldn't. But the people who already own the base game but none of the expansions might choose to either buy one of the expansions, or buy the season pass.

Right; so that's why the default options shouldn't tick everything. That's all I'm saying.
There's no automated mechanism to warn a careless person that he/she is about to take a bunch of redundant things to checkout.

A fool and his money are soon parted.
There IS a redundancy warning. I tried to buy Settlers 3 and 4 and it told me at checkout: "Same Fucking Game".

Ah, right, now I understand what you mean. Yes, it is silly that they are all checked by default, but I think that's just how the "bundle engine" of the website is implemented. I doubt they have the ability to single out specific games to not be checked by default.

I prefer it this way. ^
