fables22: I was pointing out that the forum is only a fraction of my job
How I wished gog.com would be as open a company as Dragonbox for example, I just love transparent companies, not only because they usually lie less but also because it's often just pretty interesting to look behind the scenes.

fables22: As for my favorite games - Journey, Zelda Ocarina of Time, GTA III & V, Age of Empires, sims - esp. SimCity 3000, Rollercoaster Tyccon and Pizza Tycoon, Theme Hospital, The Sims 4 is probably my biggest guilty pleasure :) I love classic city builders as well, esp. Caesar 3 & Pharaoh, Stronghold. I'm quite specific with what I like, I don't enjoy FPSs, and turn based fantasy games, and visuals are super important for me.
Some good titles in there, lacks indies but still not bad.

Klumpen0815: So I could dig up the and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/vegan_game_devs]veganism threads now without getting de-repped to hell and back this time? ;)
avatar
fables22: If you think they can produce a fruitful (pun fully intended) and meaningful discussion, by all means do it. I know a few myself.
Last times I tried I noticed a bloody lot of irrational hatred aimed towards vegetarians and vegans around here, but at least some of the haters don't seem to be around anymore.

227: But Klumpen is good people and I'm sure had the best of intentions with this thread.
Thanks. I fully expected a few low rated posts for this thread (rep isn't worth a damn around here anyway since most users lost hundreds of points due to scripts, including me) but for other posts than the one that actually got it, how odd.

JMich: Don't forget the Twitch community. Whole lot of people I don't recall seeing in the forums there as well.
avatar
fables22: Yes, indeed. Although the Twitch community is an entirely different entity and managed entirely by someone else. But you are right, of course.
Some of dem viewers and streamers are also active in this forum here. At least I`ve seen Piranjade some times here.

By applying to the job, going though the job application process and getting hired.

gOg is a private company, and if they want to hire a three-headed donkey who believes every post here should contain links to eugenics and 18th century poetry delivered through the medium of dance, they can do so if they want.

tinyE: They seriously need to come up with some better names for this stuff.

When I was a kid "twitching" and "tweeting" meant you had a severe mental disorder.
So nothing has changed.

So ????????
Is it just my impression or has activity (number of posts and/or active users) in the GOG General forum peaked like one to three years ago?

It peaked when TW 3 came out.

So they do not need to justify who they employ to any of us. It is their choice, based on their criteria. Do you ask why Judas as employed? Or Thief? Or any of the other gOg employees?

Look, I haven't been told off in 12 hours.

If nothing else the CM has accomplished that much, and that is something most people, my parents included, said was beyond impossible!

Why are you here? Don't you have work to do? Off you go.

There, happier now? :P

So? There's no problem in them asking either?

Likewise, it is also pointless asking it
