It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

joveian: I can think of three possible issues:
1) Browser compatability issue? I'm using Firefox on Linux with a number of changes and addons but I tried it in a fresh profile and it still works so if you haven't tried with Firefox (without addons, go to about:profiles and make a new profile or at least restart without addons) I would try that first.
2) Cache issue?
3) Something you did got you on an automated list and GOG doesn't let you use some more performance sensitive things (maybe just during major sales?). I think these types of lists tend to auto remove you after 1-3 months unless you trigger it again meanwhile.
I'm using Brave, a Chrome clone, and it is an older version by a year or three ... the last one supported by Windows 7.

I have never deliberately cleared the cache, certainly not recently. And the fact that the search feature started working again for many of us all around the same time, kind of indicates it is not a cache issue.

I've always suspected it was a timeout issue and probably linked to something else ... like not interrogating the database properly. So for my money, poorly written search code.

Issue three seems very unlikely. Remember, the situation of search not working, was triggered by customers having reached X amount of games (and or orders) in their library, and for many of those folk this issue has persisted for years, never being restored until now.

gog2002x: There is a search filter, unless you mean something else. I tried the current filter for the Orders & settings search with every box unchecked except for the Unredeemed box and it still filters out to show Unredeemed purchases (assuming the list displayed is complete). [...] .
I do mean something else, and I believe Captain J understood what it is (while Geralt_of_Rivia didn't).

I'm aware of the Redeemed and Unredeemed search filters, what I'd like is a way to refine each one:

- Unredeemed codes: to be able to exclude (hide?) refunded (yes, they show up in my list, and all of them at that (I have less than a handful of refunded purchases in total, don't know if there's a threshold)) or expired codes.
- Redeemed codes: to be able to perform two separate searches, only codes redeemed by others and only codes redeemed to my account.

I keep lists on a spreadsheet, but comparing them to my Orders or updating them based on what I've ordered, is a P.I.T.A. as things currently stand.

Understood and I do agree some of these need a bit more refinement. There is a checkbox for Refunded and by default it's left unchecked. I'm not sure why they couldn't get it to function all this time as a filter option. So technically since it's unchecked, we should never even see the Refunded games in any searches unless we specifically check that box.

As for the Redeemed part: I do agree that it would be nice to have that single checkbox divided perhaps into two at least. One for codes we redeem and one for codes redeemed by others. GOG seems to be in the process of updating things, so they may be more keenly listening in. So who knows, maybe it may happen. I'm also hesitant, cause I'd hate for things to break again at the same time, after getting it back (mostly) haha.

As far as the expired codes: Now I would love to see that to be a default unchecked option like the refunded checkbox. Or maybe a default checkbox that's already checked that says something like "Hide all expired codes" or something along those lines.

Actually, I'd love to see a filter simply for purchased games and since they are partnered with Amazon at the moment (and Humble sometimes), maybe another filter option for "Redeemed codes from 3rd party" or Redeemed code from Trusted Partners' services". It's a term GOG uses in their Subscriptions and Communications section. They already have games redeemed through Amazon already party of the game title, so it shouldn't be too much harder I would think. But I'm no expert ofc lol.

I can't think of anything else atm, though I'm sure there are other refinements that can be good QoL features. Though one can't help but get nervous that may break when they try to do too much haha.

I tried keeping a spreadsheet, but gave up some time ago haha. Part of the reason I did it was, due to one instance.

During a support request, GOG removed an entry from my Orders & settings page. Ofc, the entry would have been void anyway after they resolved the issue, but I would rather see it marked as something rather than just disappear. Now I can't even recall what the issue was, hence no clue to maybe how it was resolved (just in case for future reference). I know GOG support didn't shortchange me, but it still feels odd mentally lol.

I also keep written records (spreadsheet etc), but I find saving web pages is the best record, that can help support your memory or lack of ... that or taking screenshots.
