I am looking for a 16/32-bit styled game, and I think that at least one person on here, other than me, must have played it.
It is drop-down shooter, where you are part of a military unit consisting of 4-5 guys, you get parachuted into the landscape, and then you just make your way down, killing enemies. You can pick up different weapons, by smashing crates, and if you go out of the game (instead of pausing) your character will desert, and it cuts to an animation of him, being chased by other soldiers, if you die, it will tell you how many enemies you killed, whilst showing you a funeral march/parade.
Additional info:
Drop-down could also be classified as ''vertical scroller'', though whenever I use that terminology people tend to think of bullet hell games, so I opted for ''drop-down'', since the only way to progress is to descend to platforms below you.
The game that I am searching for was never released on consoles (at least to my knowledge), it is from some time in the 2000's, and I think it was a free indie title.
