I ended up resisting the BTA tier of the Bandai Namco bundle as well as buying PlayMaker. I still think it'd would be a useful tool, but since I'm not planning to go back to Unity very soon it's probably better to postpone buying it.

Whatever works. I read someone once suggest to install a few games at the top of the list, a few games which aren't, and focus on them until you finish, then move forward. I figure any system works as long as you get through the games.

Nothing in the Ubisoft promo I'm interested in so that should be easy to resist.

I think it's best to start with the least resistance games first, i.e. the short games and more casual ones. It's the inverted situation of Legolas nailing the Mumak, meaning that if you beat a short or easy game from your backlog it still "counts as one" and it's less daunting.

My strategy: Pick the cherry off the cake first, then slay the cake.

Almost two weeks, but I'm going to break down and buy a game. Was referred from the Steam Gifts forum to some free games at GamingDragons, a site I don't think I ever used (but I do think I visited it once). The free games I don't care to get, but the site has an Xbox 360 title for under $2, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Not the greatest of titles, but it's cheaper than it ever was on PC and it's has kid aesthetics and story (but apparently difficulty more suited for older kids, sadly), so would be nice for the kids. Very tempted and will likely buy it before the day is out.

Edit: It's actually rated PEGI 12 for some reason (well, reason is language and violence). That's won't stop me buying it. :) Anyway, there's a demo so I can try it first.

Edit 2: I played the demo a little and enjoyed it far as I got into it (which was before starting to draw stuff). So ended up buying it. Haven't received the code yet.

Bundles and sales are my terrible weakness. I only wanted one game in a bundle, but I had never seen it that low of a price and it sounded really interesting, so I bought the whole dang thing. It's good for gifting away, I guess, but since I have a ton in backlog anyway, this addiction is just ridiculous. Better than a gambling addiction or a more expensive addiction, I guess. :P

Yeah, if you're a cheapskate but addicted to buying, games are the way to go. You can spend a dollar for 3 or 4 games and feel that you're building your collection.

There I go again, got tempted by IndieGala's Chills & Thrills bundle. I find it hard to resist adventure bundles.

As I feared, paypal implement more limitation even though previously it just state there in only one limitation which is I cannot close my account.

Lucky I spend most of my money once I realize it previously and won't take any big loss if they decided to change the rules again and gobble up my remaining money.

Two weeks clean this time so far. And luckily there is nothing huge on the horizon which would warrant a breach...

Passing on the Bethsoft releases, due to 1) high prices, 2) the fact that I already own the Fallout games from that holiday sale freebie over a year ago, and 3) first person shooters were never my thing.

Other than that, they are a welcome addition.

I bought the base level Humble Humongous Entertainment Mobile Bundle and my kids are now playing go fish with a pig in Spy Fox in Dry Cereal. They're at somewhat at a disadvantage because they don't know English, but they're catching up.

I'm also considering buying Adrenalin Misfits for the Xbox 360. It was available to play at the hotel we stayed at (I just came back from vacation with the family) and my 5 year old liked it.

Talked myself out of the new humble bundle, since I was only mildly interested in two of them, and I hadn't had them on my wishlist before. I don't have an itching need to buy it. Usually with a humble bundle, since I can pay what I want, I usually say "what the heck" and get it anyway. So, good Fantasy. :P
