I've been getting a lot of friend requests from people I haven't even interacted with or even seen on the forum. So far I've been accepting them (and then they never wrote to me) but I'm becoming kinda suspicious. Who are these people? Why are they adding me? Is this something that's been happening to everyone lately?

Fairfox: also! is your jerkmuter still on firefox?
I think so. I haven't updated it in a long while, but haven't taken it down either. Should probably still be good.

Most probably this ...

Oh, ok then. Still weird, because why would anyone add random strangers just because they were suggested by facebook or whatever, but I guess most people are ... that way.
I haven't received any odd friend request. But I do have an "odd" friend. :)

Nothing odd about it. No one you did interact with would want to be your friend :D

Fairfox: you are a horrible person
Seeing how you spelled that properly apparently I'm a saint - I just cured your brain damage.

Facebook is a seperate thing. You have to link to Facebook for that.

The new friends feature uses friends of friends on GOG. So if you got 2 friends on your GOG.com friends list and somebody else is friends with those same users on GOG, it will suggest you as a friend to that person.

My reasoning still stands. =)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't ask me, I don't know how anyone can be actual "friends" with strangers on the internet. Hence, why I don't view the friends feature that way.

If someone wants to "friend" me to see how much time I've played in a game, or to see how many achievements I've unlocked on Galaxy, or to ask me to play online in a game or just to say hi. More power to them.

I pretty much accept everyone and block people if they are a ass afterwards. Lol, I don't really see the big deal in it either way.

Now if I was getting like 50 friend request in one day, I might feel different. But right now, I'm only got like 1 or 2 every few days wich is fine.

Yea, I'm with you on this. I don't mind, just seems odd.
