Ahhhhh I don't know if I want to stay in this. I never really played the DnD RPGs. RPGs tend to overwhelm me in their scope and size. I usually prefer tighter games like point and click adventures.

Ahhhhhhh what to do. With the Hero-U kickstarter coming in a couple days I'm not sure how to distribute my tight budget. Ahhhhhh.
I wish that I could support them, but bad month again :S

Still, there should be alrdy over 4 milion :)

You never played the games they're most famous for, and don't like the genre they're making the game in, and you have to agonize? Don't spend money funding a game you probably won't enjoy, is what to do. You'll still be able to buy it, if you change your mind.

Well I'm naturally interested and intrigued. I guess at the $20 level, if I pull out I'll miss out on the documentary but otherwise I can't imagine the game wouldn't have a sale price of $15 or so a few months after release.

Good advice - and if you want to dip your toe in the RPG water, pick up one of the RPGs Obsidian mention in their KS instead, many of them are available on GOG for under $10.
It is done...

And there we have it. Now the long wait begins.
Project now closed - 73,976 backers pledged $3,986,423. With the $131K+ reported earlier for Paypal, that puts Project Eternity comfortably over $4 million. Congrats to Obsidian - and hope they fulfil most of the expectations they've raised...
April 2014 at the earliest... *Sigh* And with all the extra content it'll probably be a few months after that. Hopefully they're liberal with the updates over the development period.
I stayed in it. For $20, what the hell. I've gotten so many games for cheap from bundles and sales, this won't kill me...I hope.
Passed $4M, amazing!

That was my first estimate, but I didn't think they'd make so much in the last hours to pass it.
That was amazing! I was very skeptical they would reach the 3.5M stretch when they announced it, but as the days went by... damn!

I don't understand who is it that still pledges during the last hours of a kickstarter! (it can't *all* come from people upping their pledge).

Have they (Obsidian) confirmed that their 4.0M stretch goal was completed? Yeah, i don't use Twitter nor Facebook. I guess I'm still in the middle ages hehe.

The final tally on Kickstarter alone is $3,986,929. The last Paypal update I saw was $137,000, so yeah, they beat it by a fair margin.
