So, a while back I made a thread mentioning how I was going to start to play Morrowind, and I finally got it in the mail yesterday. I just wanted to say, that from the 8 hours I have put in so far, I love it. I find the graphics to be breath taking, especially for 2002. The combat actually makes me feel like I am doing something, as opposed to the monotonous clicking of Skyrim. (I know, I'm weird.)
I just wanted to post this even though it may not be news to you that Morrowind is a good game.
Well they both are random clicking.

You should start tinkering with graphics mods. Just be careful about draw distance, vardenfell isn't as big as you think it is. You can totally see the entire island from the top of red mountain.

I always found that wonderful. To me, it felt like all the means to make the island seem bigger actually worked to divide it up visually as well for big draw distance - so when on ground level, you could almost never see too much and when you did, it was a beautiful vista. But from the highest points, you could see a lot. It's beautiful.
Oh I agree, seeing most of the way to the ash lands from the top of vivic is awesome. Some people find that to be a bit spoiling the first time through though.

Obvious agreement.

Gah! No, brain, I can't start another game of Morrowind! I've got other games I'm trying to finish!

Yes. And much later on in the game, jumping all the way to the ash lands from the top of Vivec in a single bound is also awesome ^_^

You know who doesn't start a new game of Morrowind? Quitters! Are you a quitter? Are you?!?

One of my favorite games. It's like the Deus Ex of rpg's.

Don't forget to visit the Alchemist in Balmora. If you want some useful tips, just ask.
I have that installed with all mods for two years now and Ive yet to play it for more than 10 minutes. XD

I must of sunk 200+ hours in it from back when I had the GOTY edition on Xbox and then when I got it again for the PC and still never beaten the damn thing. Kept getting side tracked in game and then put it down and then come back to it again only to forget what the hell I was doing and started over. Did that 10 to 20 times over the years?

It was also the last D&D inspired Elder Scrolls gameplay wise.

Yeah, I've started it a thousand times.
I'm retrieving the Dwemer puzzle box right now. So much to do! I must have already picked up 14 side quests.
PS: I was so suprised when I used the scrolls of Icaran Flight ;)
