All right, finish page ten and I'm getting ready to go cook some dinner.
I still like Bler and Brasas. I thought that Bler made some more posts that sounded townish/not me wanting him to be town. Liked the post about the people's play styles here and what to expect. Yes, I'm sure he could do that as scum too, but it's appreciated. I'll probably go back and read that again tomorrow once I've finished reading the thread as I'm still not quickly differentiated between you all. Once I associate your avatars with your name, it will be much easier.
Yogsloth - Are you scum reading Stanari? If so, why? You seem pretty convinced she's scum in the early game, and while I do appreciate the giving us new people to the thread some breathing room to settle in and get adjusted, I don't think a we won't lynch you day one because you're new approach is great if you truly believe someone to be scum. Mostly I'm interested if you really had a scum read there because Stanari was someone that nacho liked for some reason, so wondering about the oddities.
Nacho - What made you like Stanari? I see what you said, but I didn't get that same sense when I was reading along though I fully admit that it's possible yoglsoth's scum read there had me a bit more critical. i did like the "someone help me" post or whatever it was though.
Erm oh yeah quote-stripe posts are difficult for me to get a read on a player with but Agent's??? quote stripes seem inconsequential. Like he's commenting on stuff for the purpose of showing that he's commenting on things, but nothing of it matters.
Okay going to make dinner, should be back in a bit. There's a chance I don't finish this tonight actually, but in that case I will definitely without fail get completely caught up tomorrow and then I can interact more currently which will be so much nicer.

Hi Tammy!
I think you've gotten up to the point where I was townreading bler and Brasas - Bler is by far my strongest townread right now, Brasas is probably my second at the moment, although that's more due to recent posting than oldish posting (although I was townleaning it for bad reasons).
When I first came into the game, I felt pretty lost, a little frustrated trying to make things happen; I had a lot of trouble developing reads since there was a lot of noise that probably isn't alignment indicative/a lot of people pushing perspectives that I both disagree with and can be pushed pretty strongly regardless of their alignment. I can't really describe the Stanari read better than I saw her experiencing what I felt at the same time; I don't really understand yogsloth's criticisms there (although I do understand why he opted to vote Stanari over me at the time).

Vote is on Stanari because she has had a lot of floaty little posts that go nowhere and asks "why" questions without follow-up.
Alas, it is early game - without much to do - in a forum strange to many.
Who knows which way the winds blow.

Docbear, I'm voting Lift because I didn't like his approach to Brasas (I didn't like that you voted No Lynch, but it's okay because this game is weird), and I didn't like his explanation for it (it makes sense for flavor reasons) because Brasas wasn't roleplaying early. I've skimmed his response to me in my spare time which is essentially that I'm trying to find a reason to vote him which is bleh, but I'm glad to see that he's moving away from lynching someone because they didn't show up.

Nacho do you think that Yog feels more solve this game than GoT? (Also, I look to be a stronger town read to you soon enough!)
Bler - You were having the one-on-one chats with Yog, so do you think you have a feel for him? I can't remember right now what you wrote about him in your wall of play styles, though I could go back I guess but where's the fun in that?
I'm having an evolving feeling on him but I want to be cautious after watching him charm the pants off of everyone in GoT. I had a decent read on him in that I didn't trust him much, but I feel like my reasons for suspecting him were specific to his reaction to particular mechanics in that game which don't translate. If not for that I could have been one of the enamored crew myself. Although if my memory serves my gut didn't like some of his early posts but I thought I was being too harsh because everyone loved him, so.

And I read the next page and now I feel dumb as there is talk about how people feel about yogsloth.
I was going to ask Brasas about his dislike of Yog's Stanari vote, but nacho beat me to it, so bleh I'll just be on the look out for that.
I had another thought that escapes me now, but i'm off to eat dinner and probably pass out. If I don't fall asleep, I'll get as far as a I can.
I do have some lingering thoughts on others that I'm holding on to while I'm catching up that aren't really fully formed though. That will come later.

Unvote lxamyakxim (Emma Hess)
The mods will deal with him, and it really makes no sense to leave my vote on him. (Plus, it's probably bad form to lynch the person who hasn't shown up).
Vote QuadrAlien (William O'Brian)

Yogsloth is the read I was hoping you would help me with @Tammy. I think that reading him will be easier this time around unless it's surprise multiball or some stupid crap like that, I was bothered by him earlier because he wasn't defusing the weird whatever that was but I've mostly cooled off on it now and don't really have a read there.

Ok, here and have read to current. Had been away all day and ended last night sandwiched between cristi's posts 344 & 345. Will come back to her points specifically. Not on my own comp and don't like multi-quoting on this one, so won't do much of that.
Thought about a few things, however while driving and killing time while kid was napping, etc., yogs being one of them.
@Tammy
Yogs is out as a D1 vote for me, having stepped away and reflected. I think he's ultimately just someone who has to be actively cleared/peeked somehow if possible, else he's a policy lynch in mid/late POE. He's just too good a wolf in the end game if left to his own devices. But for now n=17 and D=1.
I don't see value in lynching him D1 because he can stir the pot and be active (and in this community, games drag to poop when we kill the active players early). Maybe he can clear himself; maybe someone else does. In the meantime, if he's town he's probably in scum's top-5 or so options as well because he can be a wrecking ball when he finds the right angle (Rw's island game, flub's brutal game).
Town has to fear him, and whether or not he demonstrated it on MU, at least here on gog scum actually have to fear him too. Regardless of strategy implications, in terms of an actual read...
As many times as he's burned me, and as much as I kinda hate to say it as a result, at the moment thinking...
this is his town game. Probably.
We're exact opposites - he's loves drawing non-town; I loathe it. I like solving puzzles but hate the lying (gives me nervous fits), whereas I think he likes the strategy and the trickery more than the puzzle solving. I think cristi was on the right path with the "think scum!yogs would play with more gusto" but that's not exactly it for me. Same ballpark though.
He swears he's a terrible liar IRL, fwiw. But he's a master here. That said, gun to my head...town?
It doesn't make me not paranoid. Totally am. But it's not today's problem.
Somewhat contemplating whether to follow him to Stan. She's mostly null to me, though I confess I expected more activity from her. She petered out at the end of the qualifier game (exhaustion/annoyance battling Az, presumably) but she started fairly involved, and just not seeing that here. Thin, sure, but this is D1.
Unless someone has a P1na-esque (or me-esque, i suppose) meltdown, any case will be thin.
Bigger motivation is at least the potential (25%!) to "resolve" yogs. His town history of gut reads is pretty strong, and her flipping mafia wouldn't town-lock him, but would significantly push back needing to resolve him. Probably also get him NKed and make the question moot ;) Would also look moderately good for cristi - yes, she seemed to favor stan slightly over yogs, but I don't think a scumbuddy encourages a 1v1 between the two on D1.
Certainly that's a pretty big hypothetical "if." Do still want to see more from Stan, though.
Sorry for wall of text. Will respond to a few other points but probably early bedtime for me. Long day.

Brasas: You are asking why did I propose IT. Implying "it" means actual in this specific context No Lynch Advocacy. I say it was half-baked posturing. And you insist why did I really believe IT?
Yeah...I'm pretty sure we're having two totally different conversations. The irony is that I never actually cared all that much, there just wasn't much else of note (imo) to talk about when this whole roundy-round started.
cristigale: Can you think of a game where I voted early on Day 1? (apart from RVS)
The Day is far from over, I didn't get the section about me not voting on three Days when i was scum. How do you compare that with a Day that hasn't ended?
Can you think of a game where I provided lots of analysis during the first 2-3 days? The post you referenced by HSL was 11 days into the game....that's a bit of a difference.
If you are scum this game, I'll be surprised. You seem to be working your butt off. But you're off on this.
I posted in the sign-up thread that I would only be able to participate during the evening on most days. If that makes me scum, you should keep your vote on me from here on out, that will not change.
As straight facts I only disagree with one small point.

I posted in the sign-up thread that I would only be able to participate during the evening on most days. If that makes me scum, you should keep your vote on me from here on out, that will not change.
The mention of yogs' academy game was not to comment on expecting you would have voted/not in this game (I agree, I would not have expected a vote from you yet), it was primarily creating context for new players who might read HSL's analysis and write it off here because his phrasing implies you always vote, when that's not the case.
Thus the specific example I provided trying to demonstrate that the content/style mattered more than the vote.
Though I agree, I could have found other examples, it just would've taken more research. The academy game was one where I was very familiar with your voting because I was watching you and HSL as a tandem from start to end and surprised he wasn't pushing you harder.
I also don't believe I ever said or implied that only posting eves makes you scum (the point I do disagree on) - I tried to explain that's your norm. The result of that is that only a few players who are on concurrently ever get to really dialogue with you in synchronicity - you're hard to tete-a-tete in-game.
And absolutely, it was a vote on a very small sample size, and I'm happy to be proved wrong. Your subsequent posts have been strong across the board and I agree with many of your points.
As noted, the primary point of all that was to make sure the town collective doesn't just let you slide. If you're town, we need you, and if not, then you'll be more likely to slip if people don't write you off as someone who's only capable of coasting and keep the expectations for you up. ;)

The field:
Hi Tammy! So far I like you too, in a non-alignment indicative way ;)
_____
Hopefully Ix is ok IRL. Wasn't there a game we waited for Lift for like 3 days before he wandered in from the Black Forest?
While we're on Lift, curious if he/anyone can think of a game where his town game looked similar? For people who followed JMich's game much closer than I did (yogs, e.g.) how does Lift's RP compare here to there?
Ix, weren't you in that game and were the one counter-claiming him? Oh...right.
______
While Wyrm claiming something at some point wasn't entirely unexpected (from my POV), the timing definitely was. And at least from where I sit I think does leave me in a curious if not awkward place. Since he was the person I came out of the gates expressing fair certainty he was town, I expect some will wonder if I'm also a mason.
Particularly given that anyone paying attention would note that his response to my calling him town was to vote me with a vote that didn't actually count (he hadn't unvoted Quad or whoever).
Let's just say I haven't decided how to address that in regards to myself, but will talk about it a bit in regards to him since he put it out there. Want to re-read him before I do that (though wrote a long post and deleted it :) ), though and don't have adalia's script on this comp. So tomorrow sometime.
For now, I think he didn't confirm/deny he is a Mason; I'm definitely not confirming/denying I am or that I know he is/isn't.
Is/isn't that clear/unclear?
______
I think cristi should probably be off the table for D1 as well, but as noted, don't just let her skate into end-game. She's very capable of just adapting and quietly fitting in to the flow, and then pulling off a convincing bluff or two to finish it off.
However Drealmer's posts make me uncomfy about unvoting, and mulling a few (speaking loosely) options for where else I would move it before I actually do.
Should've gone to bed 20 min ago as I'm getting pretty blurry.
Last thought. Looking back at the OP, it kinda looks like starting to congeal real wagons will move us into sundown, maybe? Moreso than time just passing and us ending up there, ready or not?
Anyone else have a read/guess on that?

Stupid timer. Put the computer to sleep, went to my room and then it came together. Tripped over shit in the dark coming back out and still had to wait.
The vote count showing L-1 no lynch is (quite certain) a warning about us moving from Mid-Day to sundown phase. It totally fits with everything Drealmer has said about his distaste for our maj. lynch/hammer system in the past.
If we get a majority on anyone, and apparently "no one" we shift to sundown. I'd put money on it. You know, if I wasn't a good Christian girl who didn't know what gambling was and/or it were allowed in forum mafia.
And looking at the restrictions, we are 100% not ready for that, imo. We don't have a single meaningful wagon at this point, and I don't think we're quite ready to hammer out a wagon in that restricted format quite yet.
So yeah, as much as wyrm and others want to experiment, don't let us get to 9 no-lynch/non-votes until we've done a bit more. Keep your vote on someone, please.
