Tammy, please just trust me on Lift for today.
I will probably make a big old case on him when I have the time to, but I'd appreciate if you just trust and follow me for today.
I think that Brasas is absolutely adorable. I am glad that he's in this game.
I am not intentionally ignoring you, I will respond to your posts in full when I have the time for them.

If my posting seems underwhelming right at this moment, it's because I'm in a "bleh" (not bler!) mood and am decently tired to boot, but I'll try to make it back in here tomorrow at a reasonable hour so my rep keeps increasing :)

TammyTown: I think Yog said that Stanari hadn't played with sushi before so that meant that only me or nacho would have made the shot.
Ah, right you are. I'd remembered why RW dropped yogs, but forgot yogs was the one who mentioned Stan as well.

I was looking for an RW/stan interaction in that span and didn't see it. Muchas gracias.

(Defense of stan)

On trent, I agree the posts mismatch, but I could read it two ways. Either way, inclined to let him address it.

vote Lifthrasil

That leaves trent and babark as the undecideds in yogs v. Lift, it seems.
unvote lifthrasil

All but positive this is where I'll end up if there's no change in gamestate, but want to do a clean re-read on lift (53 posts) and one other thing and doubt I'll get to both if either tonight.

Amusingly, I defended Stan in my prior post b/c I hadn't intended to vote. And then did. And now I'm second-guessing because one thing is poking at me. Whee!

But I think it might be useful to see yogs check back in before anyone pushes this to final phase and we're even more restricted on discussion.

Moot if both babs and trent pick the same wagon of the two, I suppose.

We build'em allright, just the wheels seem to come off.

How about this, for clarity on lynch:
(I don't rem it all, not rereading now - will fill up later or someone can pick it up - not you Bler - hands off)

Player - Wagon Yogs - Wagon Lift
Brasas = Y - Y
Bler..... = N - Mb
Lift...... = Y - N
Yogs... = ? - Y (well... who knows right? it's Yogs people...)
Stan.... = Mb - Y
Tammy = Mb - Y
Nacho = ? - Y
Trent.. = Mb - N
Cristi.. = Y - N
Ix........ = Y - ?
Babark = ? - ?

According to the timestamps your pants are 20% / 33% on fire... and I do mean your pants, not what's in'em, despite my usual focus of interest.

LAL fodder? Nah... let's give you some derpoints instead ;)

Now, at first I was actually WTF is he on about, of course RW was a werewolf.
Then I actually reread myself and saw your quoting me... yeah... ok...

Please read RW's disapearance instead of just RW which I used for short.
I did the same thing right next sentence, but there's a "from" there that makes it clearer.

Get well soon

bler144: But the trouble with this wagon is exactly your proposition. possibly scum!yogs or certainly town!yogs doesn't actually point to any next step, does it? he's just kinda meandered.
Yup, Lift is scummy.
Yup longer posts.

But scum|Yogs leads to scum|Nacho. Or does no one see that?
I mean, you saw the burrito and t-shirts story right?
Why did you think Yogs went with a burrito? Distancing people!

(Ok, yes, I also troll when things are quiet...).

Stanari: Are you implying my food is only fit for dogs?
Just your monthly special...

Has anyone visited your smokehouse recently?

TammyTown: Trent - your last two posts don't really mesh well together. ... I thought that I had something on Lift because if his flavor mentioned any sort of danger for which he would commute to his fields then it didn't match with him not wanting to lynch anyone or have any cause for thinking we were really in danger.
heh and heh... what did I miss? why the past tense there?

It better blow my socks away... I mean, did you try to be condescending there on purpose? You're quite the master at the double entendre it seems... the second sentence in first para at least removes some of the sting...

Still, if so, you can blow my something else instead. Consider it an invitation. Dan is open to try new things.
This past week has been a bear trying to get some game time.

Current thoughts...coming into D2 Lift and yogs (in that order) were at the top of my list. Given Today's events, I find it unlikely that these two are on a scum team together. So if we only have a single team, I believe one is scum and the other not. If we are multiball, I'm not sure the flip of either tells us much about the other. I'm not convinced either is town. Yogs hasn't provided a reason not to vote him. Lift at least provided a reason to reconsider my (intended) vote on him. I can buy his claim but I'm also not convinced it's true - it's a pretty good scum claim. Unlike Ix and babark, who may look fairly suspicious if they make it late game, a Commuter claim is unlikely to get a NK (if town.)

I haven't had a chance to iso trent. At this point Today, it might be more of a distraction. So for now here is what bothers me about trent's vote. Trent is voting for me because I didn't vote for Dessi. I didn't vote for Dessi because given my experience with scum!Dessi, I expected a stronger showing, thought he was town. Trent had a vote on Dessi and removed the vote because he thought Dessi was town (that's what I inferred from this post). If town!trent the irony is well....ironic.

@babark - who do you think is scummy? I don't think you're on the table as being suspicious of anyone (the deceased excluded).
avatar
bler144: If he's town and you're town, and we spend the next two days knocking you off that's us having dug what's likely a sizable hole despite coming into D2 in okay to possibly good shape.
Yes. That's true. IF he is town, I will look bad and will probably bite it on Day 3 and this means town will lose two players. But I really don't think that he is town. So I think the risk is acceptable. If he isn't scum, he's something other anti-town. He just wasn't playing a town game!

avatar
Stanari: Lif - opportunistic switch.
Again, why? Because I vote for one of the two players I see as the scummiest? Should a train on Nacho appear out of nowhere, I will just as happily switch back. Does that make me opportunistic too? So tell me, what is a town player supposed to do in your world, when a train on one of the scummiest players starts to form? Not join it and risk another no-lynch? Should I vote myself (the only other viable train) and help lynch the only player I know 100% is town? I think you're either stuck in your 'Lif is scum' perception and see everything I do through that filter. But that's not culture clash any more. That's just plain bad play. If you are town, ask yourself: what would you do if a train on one of your two top scum-reads forms. Would you really refrain from voting to avoid appearing 'opportunistic'? Or wouldn't you do exactly the same that I have done?

Now isn't that just cute? "I have nothing to make a case against him, so please just trust me? Pretty please? ... I'll make that case later. I promise. After the lynch, you know..." That's just scum who has run out of arguments.

Brasas: According to the timestamps your pants are 20% / 33% on fire... and I do mean your pants, not what's in'em, despite my usual focus of interest.
I didn't follow your chart, so no worries, I won't mess with it. I'll just ignore it! :)

Defending myself against LAL charges for compliance purposes, I wasn't feeling well and assumed at the end of a full shift I'd be wiped out. Because I wasn't feeling well (and because it was pouring, a bit unusually hard even for here and I got soaked through) I ended up leaving much earlier than scheduled, thus not feeling well but not both sick and exhausted, ergo no nap.

Plans changed, but that was a good catch.

I went back and forth on whether to comment on Nacho's point last night. Wrote and deleted it several times - last version emailed to myself instead of posted because I still couldn't decide.

I think the thing that bothers me about it primarily (since I also have a long list of technical arguments for voting Lift) isn't the "I'll share later" because that fits with his RL comments so much as whom he's saying that too.

While in theory out of juice, tammy is also in theory the most town-confirmed of anyone and might be on someone's menu. "Just trust me for today" pings me as a little bit sinister with that in mind in a way it wouldn't have if he'd said it to me, or stan, or yogs who are at least seemingly less likely to be a target.

There's another layer there as well, but for the time being I don't know that it's wise to unpack because of the invited WIFOM.

I guess I would like to see Nacho make his actual case, including the degree of certainty he's ascribing to the details and the case as a whole.
Brasas - I'm not sure what you're misunderstanding with that sentence. If lift would have mentioned that danger was mentioned in his commute description, I would have had him on a possible slip because his day one flavor play was all about not knowing about danger. I thought I had him on a slip, but he didn't mention danger so nope.

I don't like lifts response to nacho about that being cute. That just felt like a really wrong response.

I don't like this one. Feels like a weak attempt at a pseudo claim. But one scum would make a day before they fully commit, once they have more information / fewer townies.

I'm still not seeing why Lift is attracting so much attention (though I admit his analysis sort of feels like stuff I would say as well). Of course, I had Warehall pegged as pretty damn town yesterday so shows where I'm at right now.

I DO like the Lift wagon though. I think between his and yogs there's probably some good stuff there for people to digest in coming days.
Yeah, great. I'll be honest, I've lost all motivation to continue. I do see above I've pulled into a tie for the wagon lead.

Just look at the rosters on those two competing wagons. Delicious.

I'm Vanilla Town.

Enjoy yourselves.

While a number of people distracted from Dess, Lift stood out most. Though in multi-ball that might be completely meaningless. He also did a lot of role fishing (wyrm multiple times, me, suggesting whoever killed sushi come forward).

A few of his arguments had pretty obvious flaws imo, which is unusual for him. Etc. I won't go into full details, in part b/c I'm curious to see what/if Nacho wants to lay out as a case, but the sum view imo is that it's hard to tell if he's town just doing a lot of skimming (understandable) and struggling with the MU players, or if he's not town mostly just trying to look active when present and looking awkward at turns as a result.

Would like to see nacho lay his case out so tammy can review it D2, and preferably before next phase.

(No offense, Lift, this game is a bear. Also not a criticism but Lift has 54 (3%) of the 1600+ posts - that makes even more to read).

That said, yogs last post kinda effs up the game state, assuming he's serious. Which I kinda think he is. Really increases the need to be right on Lift if we go that way, esp. if NK>1.

If it is mafia + 2 wolves, and RW passed as a lover, in theory we might be down to 1 NK, but who knows.

Almost compelled to blow it up and vote for ____.

Still too many missing pieces.

I think this post is compliant.

Player - Wagon Yogs - Wagon Lift
Oh, I get it. Sure, it would probably be useful to fill in those '?'. That would be Nacho's read on yogs, Ix's read on Lift (though perhaps we just got that as a 'n') and babark's read on whatever.

@Trent - what do you think of yogs last post?

The field:

Offensive
Tammy – 2x vig
Bler – PBO (better than PBR - putting myself here as it pertains to death rate) vague on x-shot or infinite, but for sake of argument assume 1x.

Defensive
Lift – commuter
Babark – vetdoctor

Investigative
Ix – compulsive sumtin’ sumtin’

Vanilla
Yogs

Unclaimed
Brasas
Cristi
Nacho
Trent
stan

6/11 claimed. Dead: Quad (bodyguard or watcher?), 2xVT (wyrm, sushi) 2xwolf (dess, RW).

Hi babark - whatcha up to? Thoughts on the two wagons? Thoughts on the field? Know you aren't a high-frequency poster but just 4 posts this week leading up to what might be a key moment. What do you think?
