Hey Ix maybe see the OP, and I have no idea how you read that and your first racoon
...reaction was to call it trying too hard. It doesn't townlock him but how do you come out of it scumreading him? Heck treat it null if you want but I don't think it swings to scum.

My phone possibly hates me.
Bler :(

Also, I kind a liked that Lift post again. Maybe he shouldn't be lynched if he is the commuter. Though he still didn't answer why he voted babark even thinking he was town but wouldn't vote dessimu.

But I'm having a problem with thinking Quad is a bodyguard, babark doctor, and lift a commuter.

I keep forgetting that trent is in the game until he makes a post or someone mentions him.

I really should go read the death flavor from last night. I still need to reread RW and Agent as well.

Oh I just got a text and I got to go. Be back later.

Stanari: Lift you know I'm voting you right?

Also: worth trying to figure out who Quad would have protected?
Hm. That's right. You're voting me. I kind of assumed that you unvoted before making your failed vote on Nacho. But checking back, you actually didn't. That, of course, changes everything. SCUUUUM, SCUUUUM! LYNCH STANARI!!! ... Nah, just kidding. I still see Nacho and yogs as more scummy. It still feels as if you would have pushed more strongly for a hammer if you were scum - but then again I don't really know how you play, so I can't trust my feelings for you. Day 1 I saw you as scummy. Now not so much any more.

But your question about Quad is easy to speculate: IF a Quad was a bodyguard (and that's a big if) he probably protected one of the obvious NK targets. As far as I see it those were the three sort-of claimed PRs. Wyrm, Ix and babark. We can exclude Wyrm, since he's dead. So Quad, if he had a protective role at all, would have protected Ix or babark. ... But that is all speculation and I wonder: why do you ask it? What can we gain from such speculation?

Speaking about Bookwyrm: Ix asked whether he was actually a Mason ... well, Ix, we got a flip and it didn't say anything about a Mason role. On the contrary, it explicitly stated 'basic villager'. So Bookwyrm was lying and the question remains: why do you ask? What gave you the idea that the flip was omitting such a vital detail?

To Tammy: sorry, forgot to answer. And I really don't have a good answer unfortunately, since it was based solely on feeling. I thought that babark's train would benefit us (before he claimed doctor, I removed my vote after he claimed), since I thought - and still think - that the stalling was peculiar. Dessimu's train somehow felt forced. I had the impression that someone - or several someones - were setting us up. Especially with the way Stanari set it in motion without voting herself. So I was loathe to join it. It somehow felt wrong. Well, in hindsight one is always wiser...

And to comply with the rules I defend babark: don't kill him! He's town (probably) and he also is the only doctor claim we have.
I don't understand why a commuter claim means that we shouldn't lynch Lift; he's not getting nightkilled by scum in any universe after this wagon on him formed, it fits excellently for scum to have defense against nightkills when two of their own get killed in a night, and since when do commuter claims stop or halt lynches? I'll have a full catchup soon, I'm working on other games now but I'll come home when I'm done.
I'm also a little hurt that I'm the lowest rep poster out of all of the people yogsloth invited to this game, not gonna lie. I wanted to be loved, but instead learned that everyone hates me :(
Cleary the commuter claim is a lie and we should lynch him! Actually I'm just not sure.

Though I have finally read the flavor of the kills and yes, it does very much look like Quad was a bodyguard and he saved someone. And they both look like they're eaten. Also, I don't think there are several wolf packs based on RW's letter. It looks like they know who each other are and that they might not always get along? He said he didn't agree with the Julie killing, so that sounds like more than dessimu is known to him.

Lift - Why are you so willing to believe there is a doctor in the setup with a bodyguard when you are a commuter? What was your plan for using your commuter role?

Bler should not be lynched and should move his vote elsewhere.

Trent's? vote on Cristi kind of intrigues me. I still need to reread through RW.
Im now back to thinking we definitely should not lynch Lift. He's our commuter after all, and I don't think he's lying. Besides if we have a serial killer trying to pass themselves off as a vig they might try for him and he does't die.

Can someone with experience with RW tell me how he interacts with his partners? Does he tend to protect, bus, ignore, make silly small talk with, etc? Bler can you come back I miss you!

I agree, I don't think Lift is a good lynch and we need to look elsewhere. I don't want another no lynch today, but I will not vote for Lift.

As for RW, he will appear at town as he can. From what I've seen playing with him if he has to he will bus someone or point out a mistake they have made to gain cred, there is not a lot of difference between his town game and his scum game.

Defend Nacho - he's a good guy, don't lynch him! At least not at this very moment! Maybe later today! Maybe not! IDK!

Off-topic, but the rep system works such that you get 1 rep per day in which you post. So your lower rep is a function of having played on fewer days moreso than what others think of you.

You get a point boost if you have a post marked as an answer to a question (but this isn't a question thread) or have a post high-rated, but no one has a high rated post in this thread so it's moot. Likewise, low rated posts can drop your rating up to 5 per day, but that doesn't happen in games much - except occasionally in post-game sniping.

I have given a few + marks out for funny posts, but you need a handful or two on a single post to get any actual bump in rep. So it's really as simple as you've posted in this game (or signup thread or elsewhere on the forums) on 22 discrete days, tammy 26, stan 27. Sushi...8.

TammyTown: Bler can you come back I miss you!
O hai!

Well, I'm really down to my last strike, though the good news is apparently I get a mulligan back tomorrow if I can make it through the last 2 phases of D2 without screwing up.

unvote bler144

The bad news is drealmer's silence on the flip question makes me pretty certain if I do screw up I'm gone and I don't flip. Soo...

vote bler144

Anyway, I'm gone half the day tomorrow and sunday anyway, so it's a good time for me to step back, take stock, and figure out if I can even hope to play the way I'd have to to avoid dying.

On Lift: The claim does make me nervous for similar reasons to what Nacho expresses. And the generic "werewolf" flip makes me think they have some abilities, as well as Dess' hint at something. In Quad's game mafia were aliens seemingly similarly constructed, though none ever died to see a flip. But the basic design IIRC was that they earned "experience" for each day/kill and could invest it in abilites. My guess is they would've flipped as generic, but Quad's not exactly here to ask.

So Hijack claimed jailer because that was the path/role set he was going for. Yogs claimed "cook" because he likes to handle meat, but I think was going down the ninja path? Could Lift be ninja as surely as commuter? Possible.

I do feel like drealmer has cribbed little bits from other games, which is pretty inevitable - and as noted that game was the first he played in - but at this point it's a meh for actual decision-making.

There's a really obvious conclusion here, but alas it can't be said out loud or it's definitely useless. Might well be useless anyway precisely because it's obvious. But the flavor part of the claim is well done, whether drealmer made it up or Lift did.

Which reminds me I'm still waiting to hear how your backstory/abilities fit together, Tammytams. :) Why two shots?

As for gamestate, I don't really have any plan. 4 of 11 players have claimed, and arguably 5. As noted before, Lift/babs are the two I'd rate as other-than-town by play, even if doc/babs does look like potential derpclear.

But not particularly excited about lynching roles without a better layout of the setup.

And given that I can't really post freely, I'm not inclined to drive anyway. So...just gonna watch and occasionally comment for now.

I know it's bizarre, but at the moment the person I'm most inclined to defend is yogs. If nothing else I assume he's probably keeping me company here on death row.

Stanari: Hey Ix maybe see the OP, and I have no idea how you read that and your first racoon
I, for one, would like to know more about Ix's raccoon. It could be crucial to breaking this case wide open!
Ah Bler - The years surviving in the woods taught me a few things. One of those things was how to protect myself, but usually I'm protecting myself from animals and beasts who might see me as their dinner. I also learned quite a bit about traps. Because I spent so long highly aware of my own potential danger, i have a watchful eye out which sometimes leads me to sense things others might not. Twice in the game, one day one night, I could act upon those suspicions. One would be part of a trap I learned (the day kill), and the other would be with a piece of silver I've always had (the night kill).

I haven't been able to offer much in the way of a return to the kindness the village has given me until now.

Also aha I was not insane about RW he did all but drop the normal scum hunt once the day kill occurred to focus on the SK hunt. He pretty much ignored dessimu until it became an issue. He focused quite a bit on babark, and I have to say babark posted most when in relation to RW. Right now, I do believe that a bunch of stuff looks town, especially the things that nacho focused on but I also am concerned because nacho got seriously fooled by newb scum this summer who looked very open and paranoid. I'm also sticking on nacho not really talking about RW's sk hunt and just thinking he looked reasonable and town. I just did not get that impression from RW at all. He was way too much theory posting and way too much opportunistic posting on babark. Though now I'm starting to wonder if that was a bus and the interaction between them being scum theater.

I had something more I wanted to talk about but I'm losing it right now and I want to take a break for dinner. Be back later.

Don't lynch Lift in my absence, he might actually be the true town protect type role.

Not that it really matters, but do you know why the mod revealed you in the flavor when you killed Dessimu? That part seemed unusual.

bler144: vote bler144
:( Does someone need to dope slap you? Now is not the time to quit. This game would be almost stagnant at times w/o your interaction.

I will not be voting for bler. What would we learn from a bler lynch? How does it help us move forward? Perhaps that Ix looks a bit scummy. Both Ix and babark start to look suspicious if they live too long.

@bler - should Ix or babark (if town) offer up themselves if they are somehow still alive in coming days? (The correct answer is no.) If we don't believe them, we lynch them. Same for you. I believe you're town and have no intention of voting for you unless something significant changes my mind. But it would help if you could articulate why you think yogs is town. If it's pure gut read, so be it. I don't see anything in the sum of his play to support it. If he's town, perhaps pushing him towards a lynch will force him to actually play. If he gets lynched, he loses some bragging rights.

I am among those somewhat swayed by Lift's claim, so for now my vote is:

vote yogsloth

@bler - final thought, I may be wrong, but I doubt the mod would modkill you for an honest mistake.
The way Dess talks to Lif vaguely resembles my mental image of scumbuddies chatting. Yes, confbias. Still. Seems a good reason to kick him out of the PoE. I guess.

Both Ix and babark are/will eventually be on the table. Clearing them now would be helpful. I'm currently inclined to think Quad protects babark if he protects one of the two but I'm not sure he does - town protective collision there might be reason not to. It looks like he was away for most of the run up to EoD so I'm hard pressed to guess at who Quad protects outside those two.

Why do you think scum kills Quad?

Stanari's crack NK theory of the day: Quad was a hider/weak/hit by some kind of splash kill. Yes, I am aware this does not match the flavor. No, I don't care.

Let me have my crack theories.
