The art style looks quite nice here. I wish it had achievements though.

About 0. Because GOG can't be bothered to comply with the law, they just geoblock them. The only time the Germans got to access a game was purely by accident.

ET3D: Calling it an NSFW sale is fine, but unfortunately it was advertised as "games for adults" in the mail I got. No, the Blackwell series of adventure games is a good example of games for adults. NSFW is more "games for adolescents".
avatar
MarkoH01: And you think complaining about games you would not buy and aren't interested in is making you acting more adult?
I like some of those games and I am 53 so that means you are calling me "adolescent" which is quite amusing to say the least ;)
Don't take it the wrong way, I'm not saying this to attack you in the slightest, but I can't understand why you always have to come and defend these games when someone has something to say about them. It really makes you seem insecure, as if you don't own your tastes and have to constantly justify them. This guy didn't even seem really negative or insulting, and yet you still had to respond in a defensive way. There will always be someone to criticize something you like, that's normal, and that's okay. Why does it bother you so much?

MarkoH01: @GOG: Inceton, the devs and publishers are just waiting for your reply to release "Returning to Mia" here on GOG. I am waiting for this sequel as well and this NSFW sale would have been a great opportunity to make it happen. Sometimes I wonder what GOG staff is doing ... please GOG, correct me if I am wrong but wasn't you supposed to make mopney by selling games? How about actually making this possible? I have my money here, the devs are ready to upload ... we are just waiting for you.
Apparently also the Dev of No More Secrets and No More Money tried to come to GOG a couple of times and got ignored.
Both are excellent VNs (wher NMS is completed and NMM is still in development).

Actually I think the dude Marko answered to is one of the worst.
That was a passive aggressive veiled insult, at least the usual suspects are open in their disdain.

Many, most of the Kagura Stuff is buyable in germany. We are missing out on most / all of the Uncut / Unrated DLCs, though.

Even if it was, it wasn't worth it. I think Marko responded in the worst way possible. It was childish. Some battles are just not worth fighting.

First: I might be everything else but I am sure the last thing people would call me is "insecure" :)

What I am trying to do here is not defending a certain kind of games - even though it might seem to be this way because of how often I post in "these" threads and seem to defend "these" games. I'll try to explain my reason and maybe it will make things a bit more clear:

If someone actually tried certain games and did not like them or simply has no interested in them I am the last to say that they have to like them because they "are" good. However in most cases - and this unfortunately is usually the case with these NSFW games - people post in a thread calling games trash even though they never tried themselves or know how they work and on top of it they often call those who buy or even like these games perverts, pedophiles or - as in this case - adolescent. Imo this is unfair.

What I am really trying to defend here are not the games themselves (I don't have any relationship with any of those devs) but rather the freedom for everybody to buy the games they want without being judged. While one person might have the subjective opinion that a certain game would be trash it does not make it a fact. Taste is subjective and everybody should be allowed to have their own taste. Judging the people that buy those games without even knowing anything about those games or those people is imo even worse. That is the reason why I constantly try to make this clear. I am as much a pervert or sexual predator because I am playing those video games as I am an axe wielding psychopath because I watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Let people have their fun and if you don't think it's fun ... nobody is forcing anybody to buy a certain game. There's also no downside in having games here certain people dislike because in opposite of what some think the fact that GOG accepts one game does not mean that they will reject another one BECAUSE of this.

In that case let me defend my reply as well:

The guy said that those who like these games need to grow up. I simply said that his behaviour is not like a grown up would act since they obvioulsy think they are grown up - at least more than those buyers. Also, if only adolescents buy those games it would mean that I am one ... logical deduction - nothing more.

Yes, those fights are probably not worth fighting for but there's also no reason to accept everything another user is posting.

And then there's the group of insecure people who likes to attacks other peoples interests and judge them without any knowledge of what they are talking about.

Don't forget about those of us who are insufferable with high standards for no adequately explained reason.
