A visual novel with a dash of stat raising, you will follow a story and make choices leading to one of the many good and bad endings of the game – Leap of Love is now available on GOG with a -30% discount that lasts until October 26th, 4 PM UTC, and alongside its Dark Princesses DLC and Safe Edition.

You play as Kaheroux, a frog turned prince by a shady wizard. The catch of that spell is that he needs to find and marry a princess within a month or go back to being a frog. Luckily for Kaheroux the local king has three daughters and a lovely wife.

That seems to be the case judging by the remark
"Buying this game on GOG.COM you will receive a censored version of the game."
So if you don't want any porn the game is cheaper. I am not sure if it would actually be "safer" though ... but I never understood how a game could be unsafe anyway.

So you get a p*rn game that's not actually p*rn which is most likely the only justification for its existence... Why would I buy it?

Because you guys fail to understand that the porn in a porn game is in most cases ADDITIONAL stuff and not the only stuff that's in the game. If you would actually play the games instead of just judging them you'd know this ... but apparently judging without any experience is more fun.

And why on earth are you censoring yourself? This is not Steam.

Dude, a VN is mostly there because of the lewd content. It's not a bad thing but if you took out the porn from most of those games, they would just fall apart.

You have no idea what you are talking about and it shows. So how many AO games did you actually play or do you own that you are so experienced in telling me what an AO game is about? I own and have played several and almost NONE of them only consists out of lewd scenes. Leap of Faith would work perfectly fine without a single lewd scene and would still be an amazing VN. Shining Song Starnova is great and does not need a single lewd scene as well ... it has great music, characters and story. Same goes for Being A DIK and Acting Lessons ...

I've been banned and have a threat of a permaban hanging over me for saying "oh f*** off" (that, uncensored of course, was literally the entirety of the post, and it wasn't even directed at another user). So now I'm censoring myself too, because I have honestly no idea what I might get kicked out for forever.

The point is that there seems to be a normal version and the one on GoG seems to be censored. That's the problem.

I never said that this is my religion or anything like it. YOU tried to tell ME how a certain genre is working even though you obviously don't know this at all. If you are not sure that's fine by me but in that case you should not act as if you do The sentence

could not be more wrong and you are stating it as if it would be a fact which it is not. If you would have said "in my experience ..." or anything like that everything would be fine but you acted as if you could tell me what these games are about and I actually have played them

Well, we just learned that the main focus of a VN - even one with lewd content in it - is NOT the porn and that there are things in it that are enjoyable even without the porn. So the "problem" does not exist. There are people that would like to play a VN with AO content and there are those that would like to play it without AO content. If you read the description of the game it is imo also pretty obvious why this game here could also appeal to those not interested in porn. It seems to be basically a sort of dating sim and this alone could be fun even to those who dislike adult stuff and those could be scared away by the lewd scenes. So they are offering the game with and without lewd content - nothing strange about it if you think about it, simple marketing.
