Probably many years if ever (although that'd certainly be a massive, anniversary-worthy announcement).

But I think we very much have hope for more older Bethesda games.

With only 450 community wishlist votes currently, I wouldn't count on it being any time soon ... if ever, unless more votes happen ... even then, it's no guarantee.
Stands to reason= never. Gog having the iron in the fire before any changes in the background, is far more plausible. New or even somewhat new games are not likely to follow unless it was already in a contract.

idbeholdME: Although Rage 2 is doubtful, because you still have to, to this day, pay for the DLCs using the idiotic "Rage Coins" :/
I played the game last year on Steam and even I was surprised that until now, they didn't have a "definitive edition" or some sort that contains every DLC. The closest you can get is the Deluxe Edition which includes only the longest and the best, expansion called Rise of the Ghosts. But you must use the Rage Coins to buy the rest (which by the way, never had a sale).

For Cult of the Death God and Terrormania you gotta buy them for 1000 Rage Coins total. Granted, both of these DLC aren't that good, CotDG is short and only appeals to those who played the first game, and Terrormania is repetitive, but it grants a cool sword and has achievements. Still I don't think it's a good way to sell the game, like yea some of us want to play games to its full extent.

If Rage 2 were to someday be released on GOG I hope they'll bundle the other DLCs as well. And maybe apply the same thing to Epic and Steam, but I'm hoping too much.

Add about thirty years to that.

I'm curious to know how much weight community wishlist votes really carry. Some entries have thousands of votes and still haven't made their way here yet.

I don't think GoG can just get any game it wants. Most of the publishers like DRM and some games are not easy to get a license for. I'd buy every Tony Hawk game here but those especially are licensing nightmares...

Well it doesn't help that people ask for things like Diablo 3 or Fable 2. Vote all you want, but neither will happen.

As for the weight, I know SNEG look at them.

Many games based of another franchise are also victims to this case. There are many Marvel, DC, and Transformers games that has practically became abandonware because of these "license has expired" reasons.

That is true. Telltale falls into the same limbo. So many of their games are lost now because of expired licenses.

I too, would love to see many Activation Marvel and Transformers games return. Hasbro has been showing interest lately in bringing back some of the older transformers games though, so maybe there's still hope for them.

Some time back, GOG put out a thread explaining what happens, and that they do use the community wishlists. They mentioned several factors that impact how successful they are and how long it can take and even fail occasionally. It varies from licensing issues and chasing down those and the parties involved, to also being able to successfully get a game to run on latest Windows, etc etc. Some games are quite difficult or very tricky, and often require a lot of work. Of course the more work etc the more costly, so priorities no doubt come into play.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a period where Telltale's Walking Dead games were removed from Steam? Or maybe resold but at a greatly increased price like Tales from the Borderlands? I think that's why there's like a 2 year gap between me playing S1 and S2 and above, lol.

I hope that's true. Would love to play War for Cybertron on PC. Back when it was around I do not have a strong enough interest and PC, hence why I never bought it.

Telltale went bankrupt around 2017 or something and thus lost all their licenses. Their games were delisted everywhere. I will never forgive myself for being unaware of that, I missed out on so many of their games. I don't know exactly how it went after that, but I do believe Skybound decided to save The Walking Dead, so they took over the development, as well as some of Telltale's staff.

I think 2k independently saved tales from borderlands and re-published it on Steam, but not on GOG. They then made their own sequel, which was widely disliked.

The later someone acquired many telltale's assets and revived it as a brand. Some licenses were revived, like Batman, The Wolf Among us, but many others were not, like back to the future, game of thrones, Minecraft story mode, guardians of the galaxy, etc.

Hasbro and Activision had an odd spat on Twitter recently, with Hasbro saying they'd like to bring back old transformers games, but accusing Activision of losing the source code. Activision later replied saying they haven't lost anything. I assume they had some negotiations in private and they didn't go well, so I imagine that Hasbro thought that taking it to twitter would somehow sway discussions in their favour, maybe create some public outrage and demand.

Yea, I missed out on a lot of stuff too. Didn't like story-based games back then, thought Telltale was just like a visual novel where you click and never move around, not too Life is Strange-ish. Boy was I wrong. The moment I got back to Telltale I instantly bought the Batman games since I'm too afraid they'll expire. Batman Arkham games seems safe though.

I haven't bought TFTB even until now, the price is crazy, super expensive even on sale. I'll just hold on to hope that one day they'll make it cheap... I really want to play that game.

Kinda hope those 2 companies work it out and put their games back. People would buy it, I know I will. Win-win. Those games look great and I heard many good things.

Vote counts for the Yakuza games range from about 840 to 300. Assuming Starfield is at least somewhat well-received, I'm sure GOG would love to get it here and doesn't really care about votes for it.

That said, I of course still encourage people to vote in general, especially for indies. I believe the vote count for SKALD really helped to get GOG to accept it. And I researched Betrayer because of it's relatively high vote count.
