Man... I JUST bought the 4 Broken Sword games for 15,57$... and one day later, BAM! They are at 4,76$.

Does GOG have some kind of policy for these kind of situations?

Can I just refund them and get 15,57$ in my wallet so I can buy them at 4.76$ and then some more?

I don't want to cheat GOG (I love GOG), but I don't want GOG to cheat me, also... I know that buying games that aren't in sale is a bit "stupid", since they will be in sale sooner or later... but, one day later?

What gr00t said if you hadn't downloaded them yet, try to get a refund then buy again. Other than that, you're about SOL. Happens to all of us.

That is just life, man. Next time, wait for a sale before purchasing games if you so desperately want to save money. You were not cheated in any way whatsoever. You just missed out on an opportunity to save some money and that sucks but nobody wronged you.

That reminds me of something that could be interesting to ask: How much was your biggest "loss"? Well, mine's $11!

I deal with this by actively forbiding myself to think about it, and not only where games are concerned. If I bought it at full price, it means that it has that much value for me (it helps to have some economic background for this line of thought). If I find it next day for half as much, well, good for the next guy.

Of course, games are luxury goods and not many have as much value to me to buy at full price. Witcher 3 was worth it. I almost got Oblivion + fallout 3 + fallout NV for full price in the few minutes before the launch discount was applied. I was saved by low limit on my card that time, but I wouldn't make a fuss if the payment went through. Other than that, few odd in-dev titles, usually entirely new genres that piqued my curiosity (Solus project, Planet nomad, maybe few others that I don't remember right now).

So yes, only sane way I see to deal with this is to make only decisions you won't regret, and then follow through and DON'T regret it.

The difference in this case is that the Summer Sale started yesterday with actually not even all discounts on offer. Today a gog staff wrote even on this forum that all discounts are applied now (and sorry for the inconvenience) and while yesterday only 7 of the 27 games on my wishlist where on sale, today 18 of the 27 are.
Either gog really fucked things up or the negative response to how big of a joke the sale looked yesterday "forced" them to do some major damage reduction.
In any case, the Broken Sword games weren't price reduced yesterday when the sale started but are today after they fixed whatever the case was.

Yep! I learned my lesson - unless it's some really amazing Day 1 thing I have to have, minimum discount for me is 80%.
