I can get behind people not murdering each other (sounds quite good actually) but I'm not sure we need various commerative days for it. For any group honestly.

I'm not a big fan of humoring criminal reasoning. You killed someone because they were a different color? Transgender? You were out of crunchy peanut butter? I frankly don't care what dumbass reason you thought was valid enough to kill someone. We have rules in society and one of the big ones is typically "don't kill each other". With a few exceptions like self-defense it's generally understood that I don't wake up and kill someone today, or tomorrow, or ever.

Also feels weird to commemorate victims based on things like this. I care far more about their personality, talents, interests, accomplishments, etc. than how much melanin was in their skin or what their sexual preferences were. If you just referred to someone alive always as your "transgender friend" it starts to feel like that's all that defines who they are (go ahead, refer to "my black friend" constantly and see how that goes), so I'm not sure it's a good idea to represent them that way in death even if it's why they were singled out.

GoGs mistake was recognizing a women's day. Now they are biased if they don't recognize all the other groups in the world including men.

I refuse to patronize businesses that use the LGBTQ friendly tags on their Google map pins and don't support the Woman Led business tag either. The expectation is that you are equally friendly to all customers regardless of identity and a woman led business is not better than nor deserves patronage over a man led business.
