What exactly of this day attack you? Why is your post so agressive?

-I am a man
-I was not aware of the day (I realized by the newspaper as wrote above)
-I created this thread
-I don't give a sh*t the date, but if it says its our day: Hell, I won't turn down the gifts, hugs and fist bumps! Because unlike you, I do not celebrate every day the "men's day"....

Sounds like a nice/noble/etc theme I didn't even know it was a thing until now, actually.
As for such days in general: I don't usually celebrate them much.

Some equate celebrations of specific groups(women/LGBT/etc) as good and needed, while somehow also sadly equating similar celebrations of other groups(men/etc) as unneeded and wrong. Such types are themselves closeminded(even if they say otherwise), and my advice is to pay no mind to their words.

Not a problem if it happens because it would be earned: The blues here would do it if the topic derail or drifts away of civil manners. (Surprise, surprise!: One of the few positive things I recognize them)

What is sad/food_for_thought is how sensible is the society worldwide about certainly not_crucial topics.
We are very anxious to extrapolate the real problems (that happens to every of us, despite color, gender, creed) and start the fire at the minimum opportunity.
We should be working together towards a solution, not wasting time dividing us even more in vain exhibits.

Why I created this thread then? Well
-I am a man
-I can talk/participate first hand about being one
-I don't have a problem (call it I don't care if you wish) if a men's day exist.
-I also don't have a problem if it exists: It is innocuous to me. The same with the women's, gay's, you_name_whatever days. All those are free (cost, time & effort) and good excuses to congratulate and "dedicate" to them.

By the way: The day is near to end and I am still waiting any gift (LOL, a naive here)

Being openminded doesn't mean one must read/reply to rude posts......if such posters(or others) choose to express their sentiments in an appropriate manner, then of course I think people should listen to them. :)

Well some of them do sometimes cost time and money...like when companies hold contests and events and the like. That aside, this is very well said and I agree
