Fragment:
International Men's Day (IMD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on November 19 to recognize and celebrate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of men...It is an occasion to celebrate boys' and men's achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to nation, union, society, community, family, marriage, and childcare
...
2021 theme: "Better relations between men and women"

Do you celebrate it? How?

Much probably a special holiday is not needed, but this could be a good excuse to give a hug to the relevant men & boys in our lifes... fist bumps also accepted B^{D

Happy men's day!
Don't celebrate it, don't see the point.

That makes it sound as if there's a conflict going on, or that men and women come from different planets... Mars and Venus maybe?

Maybe it's a sign of the times, that I have to point this out, but we're all people. While nobody can deny biology and biological differences, we are minds behind bodies and that complicates things beautifully.

Perhaps it's time we stopped acting like we're not all in the same boat?

Actually quite a lot of people do, and would start shrieking in moronic twitter rage if they read that :D Such is the world today.

Anyway, all the Men's/Women's/Earth's/Everybody Clap Your Hands Days are all just tedious nonsense.

Mens right activism are often sad dudebros who are bumhurt because feminism. And so, I feel an International Mens Day plays into an agenda I don't really subscribe to.

But other than that, what's the harm? So, "fist bumps" I guess, or something equally masculine.

Fair enough... well, the way I see it you can very well be unhappy or not feel in harmony with how you were born, but that hardly changes the reality of it all. You make lemonade, like everyone else who's handed lemons.

Agreed. Not that there isn't anything worthy of celebration - humanity is not all about barely holding it together. Or is it? :P

Oh come on big boy! (supposing you are a man): Let me send you a huge hug!
Thankfully hugs are still free nowadays and don't require a certified reason :)

An intricated philosophical/sociological/psychological question that could drive us to the grounds of the good and evil in a blink, and to one of the greatest mysteries: "Who am I?" in a split second...

For simplicity, I choose to understand it in terms of:
-The most common intimate relation is man-woman
-The restless human aspiration to perfection

Totally agree with you, all we are humans, and every one of us is very important.

Yep, polarization is a thing nowadays...
Please receive a friendly fist bump from me, somewhere in the world, and another one just for no reason: just for fun :)

True.

Similarly, the women's rights activists (ie. feminists) are often either aging women who can't cope with how they are losing their charm with age, or sad virgin guys who think they can get some from women by acting as pro-feminists.

In general, activists are quite sad overall. Except DRM-free activists, of course. There's a rule to every exception, or was it the other way around.

I've been a man, and happily so, for 6 decades. But a day to celebrate men is redunkulous. Basically every day for the last 10,000 years has been "men's day". Men who think they need a "day" to celebrate themselves are both ignorant and insecure. It's not identical, but in the ballpark of people who want "white pride" days. Childish, repugnant, and passive-aggressive.

There you go being anti-feminist. It's okay for dudes to have and express emotions. And normalize it without fear of "omg homo hahah!" and the fear that instills alongside other parts of toxic masculinity. *hugs*!

As for MRA, I often try to engage those in my personal life when I encounter them. They've usually come around to recognize that feminism addresses the same things they're trying to address. Of course, there are the lost causes for whom the previous paragraph would apply and cause them to become upset.
