I will submit Digital Devil Saga, no one ever mentions that. Great jrpg with demons in it, how often do you get a party full of demons.

Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King hardly ever gets mentioned, fantastic jrpg.

How bout Xenosaga, stupidly didn't buy that when I could have, never played it.

Suikoden. I should have kept my copy of V.

Actually, I consider that game to be one of the 2 overrated games in the series, and probably my least favorite. (I actually prefer 1 and 2, particularly in their original versions where 2 is challenging and 1 requires lots of what is nowdays called "grinding".) (With that said, it isn't *bad*; it's just not as good as the rest of the series.)

Shame on you people!

SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!
You know this is a thread about RPG gems that are not mentioned often, right? Right? ;)

The vampire games are very, very well-known and with the recent release they're on the front page a lot.

Now, if you had meant Bloodnet on the other hand....

I agree. DQ 8 is great and i should finally continue playing it. I started about 1-2 years ago and made it to the point where you have to crawl through a hole in the wall with the hamster... IIRC... :D

So Suikoden V is probably the good one. I have Suikoden IV + V for the PS2 and IIRC one was good while the other one was rather bland and boring...

Quite a grindfest but a good story and really good music. One of the rare adult type jrpgs

Still not enough mentions. u.u
I don't see the game Rogue being mentioned much, even though it has an entire genre named after it.

Also, there exists a party-based RPG named Oubliette, which predates the original Wizardry.
