There are some REAL crazies on GOG Reviews.
Like legit mentally ill people.

Yea reviews here are busted.
The best way to look at em is filter everything but verified-owners and only recent ones for patch info.

A lot of time there are shitty reviews not based on game quality, but because it didn't work on their setup. Or even worse personal ideals/political standings.

But yea reviews here are hit or miss.

I'd rather call these entries in the review section than reviews.

I dunno, though some things are obvious(or seem to be):

The 1st/top review seems to be the most genuine of the bunch.

The 2nd is an obviously politically motivated reply(note the use of the word fascist and the term p"unch down") and should be reported, imo.
(Also note that they pirated it which means they likely thought it'd be more aligned to their way of thinking, hence their review is biased as heck & likely based more on what is said and how rather than game play)

The 3rd might be done as it is for the same reasons as the first, or they likely re biased against it in some way(as shown by the 1 star and wording).

The 4th I dunno about...that term isn't familiar to me.

I ask as, given their wording(especially review#2) I don't think i'd want most of them making games I had to pay money for.

This is why i don't take any review seriously anymore or atleast close to it whether it's user or even worse critic outlets. Fair and honest reviews are becoming very rare nowadays and review trolling a common practice sadly and therefore it's twice as important today to do proper research before making a purchase.

I can't believe there's no review editing still or a way to nuke review trolls or atleast bury them somewhere REALLY deep, downvoting those reviews barely works anyway.

Obvious troll reviews (like those of that guy spamming VNs with "pedophile sim" bullshit) I always downvote+report. Enough people doing that and they go away (just like spam on the forums).
Sometimes fixing of the most critical bugs would be desirable. ;-)

Good on you for that but they do have a tendency to creep up on first page sometimes regardless, probably a glitch in the system. I just dislike when useless reviews take up space for others that offers valuable insight.

Maybe someday GOG will implement some better tools for dealing with crap reviews until then we just gotta use what we have at our disposal for dealing with them i agree.

True, but I don't know if i'd want some of those types(judging by the wording of their reviews) working on fixing(or "fixing") games I had interest in. ;)
